The MZIII series is intended to be in-continuity with the 616 universe, and appears to be a case of a special task force being sent into the timeline of the Marvel Zombies in order to deal with it, presumably due to an immediate threat to the main Marvel (616) universe.

Quesada was candid about the profit drive behind this when addressing it at WWE. The bottom line message is that the fans are the only ones who'll be able to end the zombie threat. If MZ3 sells well, we can pretty much count on an MZ4, etc. So, if you pick it up with any hope of seeing, well, a headstone to the story of the (start to finish, IMHO, poorly-written, and not much more than one-joke) zombie plague you're deluding yourself. If enough of you buy it they'll crank out more.

All honesty...it sounds WAY better then the 2nd one. I'll give it a try just cuz from the sounds of it, cuz Man-Things a for Sure and it might just involve Terror Inc, Brother Voodoo, and I always wanted to see what the other states Init. teams are.

What Kirby Charcter though? O man a Zombie Devil Dino would SUCK fighting against. but hes on the Savage land. Whos getting over looked?

I bought both series as TPBs. I couldn't understand what the hype was all about.

A neat gimmick, but the story AND art were marginal at best.

Now say that out loud with a straight face...
