danna make me point the finger at you for the flaws....
i was totally trying to bypass ya.
plus they put it whatever out there (making the characters) then once we get used to the way its played, and by the rules have a handle on it, you go with any questions and then they say OOPS sorry no we meant this.
What i am saying is some play testing before you release the goofy things.
It would make Harpua life much easier answering questions

I'm not seeing how PW is affected at all. What am I missing?
Unavoidable and Penetrating have changed. Pulse Wave has not. PW's damage is neither Penetrating nor Unavoidable. I don't see where anything changed in the way traits interact with Pulse Wave.
You know looking at it from this POV, Harpua is right...so far, Ben's trait will work against Pulse Wave...
for about 5 minutes until a dumb ruling comes along...
Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing

It all boils down to what was intended.
When the idea of traits was conceived, did they consider the fact that Pulse Wave would not ignore them? Who knows? If the designers mistakenly took it for granted that traits would be ignored, then we can assume that they priced accordingly. If they were priced under the assumption that things like PW would ignore them, then to not allow PW to do that makes them unbalanced.
My only concern is that whatever the ruling is, it is documented. As written, PW does not ignore traits. If that is the end result, no changes to rules are needed. If the intention was that they would be ignored, then we need the rules to be updated accordingly. As long as the result we get is in line with how the mechanic was priced AND the rules are there to justify the end result, I'm happy.

come on Harp... start again...
Namor is only 150 pts and The Thing 100 pts... and we can go on and on about it...

I'm not seeing the correlation.
Say that Ben's trait adds 10 points to his cost of 100.
When the designers created it, they meant for it to be ignored by PW.
Now, while it is only a slight improvement, the ability to not be ignored by PW should have an impact on what that mechanic cost. Say that it would have been priced at 15 points.
I'd much rather see the errata to make it so that PW ignores traits than to have a 105 point figure running around costing 100 points.
Overpriced and underpriced figures aren't really he issue here, imo.
the correlation is the lack of correct pricing, or at least a changing and mutating formula

I obviously understand your point, my comment was that as I no see a relation between points/abilities/powers (see namor/thing reference) then the fact that the trait cost is X has no meaning.

well of course it normally has meaning in the cost look at Strange, E-2, Worlds finest, etc. the delema here was they wanted the LE 4 to be the same cost as the SI Reg 4 and be able to play all 4 at the same time.
