If you haven't read them yet, you don't know what you're missing. They may quite possibly be my all-time favorite Spidey tales. Kurt Busiek writes 'em and Pat Oliffe (of Spider-Girl fame) draws 'em. They take place during the Ditko / Romita run near Pete's humble beginnings, and I maintain that they're a seamless fit! Well..."Scorcher" seems a bit 90's, but other than that...!
The first eight issues have been collected into a TPB too. It's called "Spider-Man Visionaries: Kurt Busiek".
One of the Annuals is the best. It's drawn by Mike Allred (who I love). In it, Spider-Man goes on a date with the Invisible Girl, just to make Reed jealous. Only the Human Torch, Spidey's rival, gets wind of it. So what does the jerk do? He goes and tells the Sub-Mariner! Hilarity ensues.
Man, I love that series. It went from 1-25, plus a "Flashback" issue, a Doctor Strange Team-Up One-Shot, and two Annuals. Get 'em!
You could, y'know, get 'em at the Nostalgia Zone if you felt so inclined.
