WCAvengers turn 5a

Puma lunged at Moon Knight. Only the honed reflexes and extensive training of the Avenger in jet and silver made in possible for Moon Knight to avoid the ferocious attack.

Ant-Man appealed to Puma. “You can fight her. Resist Morgan’s control! Don’t do this!” For a split second, it seemed as though Puma hesitated.

Iron Man tried to take advantage of the moment and fired at Puma with his repulsor rays. Incredibly, he missed. ‘Man, I should be much better with targeting with the neural implants,’ Rhodes thought to himself. ‘What’s wrong?…’

Meanwhile, Mockingbird heard a noise and whirled around. Another of the cat-beings had suddenly leapt up to her from behind. She used the momentum from her turn to lash out with an expert kick, but the cat-person’s reactions were too fast. Mockingbird’s kick missed, and she immediately adopted a defensive posture.

Puma just growls at him.

WCAvengers turn 6a

"Puma," cried Ant-Man, "listen to me! You're stronger than she is." Again, Puma seemed to hesitate for a split second. Could it be that Morgan's sorcerous control of the cat people had its limits?

Iron Man felt the need to get away. His head was swimming, and he wasn't sure if it was from Morgan Le Fay's powerful magical attack that seemed to set his head on fire. He wanted to get a different vantage point, so he jetted around the corner, where Morgan couldn't see him. <SKRAAAAK> His repulsor blast hit home this time, taking advantage of Puma's momentary hesitation. Puma snarled in anger.

Ant-Man also noticed that Mockingbird was being assaulted. He used his new stinger blast to attack her opponent. Unfortunately, the attack only seemed to enrage Mockingbird's assailant.

Mockingbird was hard-pressed to defend herself. She was facing a virtual whirlwind of claws, fur, and teeth. "Thanks, Doc," she said through gritted teeth, "that was just what I needed."

"Perhaps I can assist you," Dr Druid said. His eyes closed briefly, and his face bore an expression of concentration. Dr Druid used some sort of levitation spell and floated around the corner to a spot close to Mockingbird, ready to help.

WCAvengers turn 7a

Mockingbird defended herself as well as she could against the enraged cat-being. It snarled and leapt at Mockingbird, but she was just able to lunge aside at the last moment. With a swipe of its hind leg, the ferocious feline tore into Mockingbird's side.

"Unngh," she groaned. Bobbi semi-consciously recalled her numerous training sessions with Tigra and almost instictively ducked. True to cat fashion, Mockingbird's opponent whirled and swiped again. Thanks to Mockingbird's incredible reflexes, the beast's attack whirred past Bobbi's head and struck one of the heavy statues in Morgan Le Fay's lair. The cat-creature howled in pain.

It was Mockingbird's turn. She vaulted over the cat-being's shoulder and delivered an expert rear kick to the feline's back. It was hurtled against the wall and it slumped to the floor, unconscious.

Moon Knight had also been injured. His striking jet and silver costume displayed streaks of red, and Moon Knight held his wounded right shoulder. He pulled out some crescent darts and attempted to hurl them at his assailant. "Arrgh," Moon Knight exclaimed. The volley fall harmlessly short of its target, as Moon Knight felt a shooting pain in his shoulder. The cat-creature must have damaged some tendons with its fierce attack, and Moon Knight aggravated the injury with his ranged combat attack.

Yeah, I hear you about the knockback! But you're safe this turn as Puma misses twice!

"How nice of you to join me," Morgan La Fay coyly says to Mockingbird as Selene places her next to the sorceress. "I do hope you'll enjoy your stay here, no matter how brief it may be. If you need anything, just ask, if you can find me." She laughs as only an evil sorceress can laugh and casts a protection spell and seems to fade into the wall behind her.
"Now my pets, it's time to make these Avengers pay for their tresspasses," Morgan La Fay commands through her mental link to her thralls. "Rip them apart."
Wildcat unleashes a vicious and expertly placed roundhouse kick that smashes through the armor on Iron-Man's chest. The avenger moans in pain.
Puma, sensing the Avengers' leader is nearly finished, throws a combination of kicks and punches at him, but his own wounds and exhaustion have sapped him of his fighting skill and Iron-Man fends off the blows.

WCAvengers turn 9a

One of the strongest members of the Avengers, Iron Man, was teetering. Attacked from multiple sides, he had been weakened, and his armor was betraying signs of damage. The man inside the armor was in little better shape. His head was still swimming, and every effort to instruct the armor to respond only seemed to make it worse. 'What did that witch do to me?' thought Jim Rhodes.

Ant-Man knew he had to act. He exerted exceptional effort and carefully aimed his sting blaster. From his vantage point on the balcony, he had a decent view of Puma. Ant-Man fired and successfully hit Puma, who screeched briefly and then fell to the floor, unconscious.

Dr Druid took note of Puma's falling and challenged Morgan Le Fay once again. "Your minions are fewer, Morgan, and we outnumber you. You should leave this land and the cat-people in peace. They will not serve your evil ends." Then he said more quietly to Mockingbird, "She is using a standard protection spell. It displaces her image by only a few centimeters. If you..."

Mockingbird needed no additional prompting. She loosed a flurry of kicks and punches at and near where she Morgan Le Fay's form. While not all of them struck home, she did feel at least one impact satisfyingly.

"You shall pay for that, whelp!" Morgan Le Fay cried. The sorceress began gesturing again...
