It would be awesome! And it'd be clix on youtube that covers more than a wicked hot cosplay skrull ms. marvel at some con! Even though that is single-handedly the best figure I've ever seen
OK, so you really want to be on the internet, explaining rules?
Let's do it!
Seriously.
I have the gear!
You think the squawking from the rules lawyers on this site is bad? What do you think it would be like if they actually hear it from your own lips?
Or worse still, start posting their own videos?
OMG, do we REALLY need to actually SEE some of these trolls????
Je Suis Charlie!

Reason: quote error
They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far." Robert Downey/Tony Stark
Because the text non-video rulebook was the real reason Topps smothered WK with a pillow.
WOW YOU FIGURED IT OUT ZOMG![/url]
Thanks. I know and I appreciate your support. .... Seriously now I dont mind that you dont agree at all.... but tell me... You don’t think that a 20 page plus rulebook isnt a detriment to some new players?
Let me tell you what I've seen. I have a friend Serg that quit playing around the time of critical mass because he felt that he had to keep putting in an inordinate amount of time on sites like realms and the wizkids website... He liked the game and all. but he just couldnt keep up with the rules documents readings and re- readings. He was already a psych major and he didnt need more busy work. He is amenable to a video however because he can fast forward and understand much more quickly because the information can be presented for passive reception.
All comments aside about the Michael Eisner and Tornante group ordering Topps staff to kill WK, do you honestly think that if the rules were quicker to absorb and follow people like my pal serg would have quit? Do you think others havent quit for the same reasons?
I know another clixplayer whose name I will keep quiet out of respect.... He told me that he does not know how to read well at all (1 or 2nd grade tops).. and that he is learning very slowly at the local library. Do you honestly think that every person is as awesomely willed as this person. I think not. Its a fact that the game has bled players because of perceived difficulty of rules.
I love the rules and modifications via feats BFCS and the like. that gives the game its unique flavor. without the modifications it just isnt accurate. I say keep the rules and the modifiers. I just want more people to be able to participate…. That’s all.
I just think it would be wise for Wizkids to invest in keeping more people. That’s all.
Some people have mentioned “How are the kids going to get access to a computer?" Libraries have computers and they are free. Kids are starting to carry flash drives to school. Kids with low socioeconomic status... How do I know.... I worked in inner city schools for years.
Some people have mentioned “ The game is too expensive… so is the PS3 that most of those kids have received from their parents somehow as well.
Cost is only an issue in the absence of value.
Supporting the fanbase’s needs could really help the brand explode. It would be in all of our interests if we had a bigger game. perhaps we could even have cash prizes at tourneys one day after the game got big enough. Magic does it all the time. I not saying in the thousands but how about prizes ranging in the hundreds for the top 4? Isn't that a good goal?
So please malakim.... continue with your mockery if you want.. I dont really care... But just dont think it's very funny to all people, because it isnt, especially to those two guys who represent a community you'd like to throw under the bus.

Seeing the title of this thread reminded me of a Monsterpocalypse "LOLpocalypse" picture...
Thats great.... MMA style pre arbitration fisticuffs in the parking lot before making the videos... maybe those should be recorded as a warmup to the "official" rulings.

Er, no, I don't, actually. I think your idea has some merit for introductory videos. However, rules arbitration is a whole different kettle of fish. Really, twenty pages is too complex? I think the rules are actually simpler than they have been, special powers notwithstanding.

Yup, you got me. When I'm not stealing candy from babies, I love running over handicapped people with my truck. VROOM VROOM!
Maybe if you had couched your argument like that in the first place, you might have gotten a little less sarcastic a response from me. As it is, I just think you're a jerk for playing that card in response to an obvious jest. And you might say you don't care, but the fact that you decided to get that pissy seems to indicate you do.
So by all means, get Norm or a new RA to put up some "How to play Clix" videos on the WK website. I think that would be a great idea. But having ALL the rules on the internet only... which, news flash, not everyone can access? Bad idea.
I daresay you'd restrict more people by going net/web rules only than the way it currently is.
