Say what you will about the story, it had one of my favourite bits from early 90'd X-comics when the X-Men (primarily the much better Blue team - I'm biased towards Gambit and Cyke) and X-Factor beat the tar out of Kewl-era X-Force without even breaking a sweat.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

Being out numbered 2 or 3 to 1 tends to lead to that outcome, yes

I loved that part! And yes I know I said I needed to buy the TPB, but I was confusing it with X-Tinction Agenda (which I've never read).

I thought X-tinction Agenda was one the best mutliple X-titles crossovers ever. The ending was a little weak, but up until that last issue of X-Factor it was very good stuff.

Seriously, Cyke and Havok manage to take out Hodge more or less on their own? We spend the whole crossover watching Hodge single handedly dismantle entire teams of X-Folk without much difficulty and then all the sudden he gets smoked by the Summers Brothers? That really didn't make a whole lot of sense...
