Ummmm.....so I roll a 6 for Lex's skrull ta. That undoes Fandral's attack. I can also roll for Barney's: 6 again....since we roll to see if we can attack first for skrull tas do you want to change your turn?

As we really should be rolling Skrull/Shape Change immediately before the action, Fandral's already where he should be, and so his action's wasted. Ditto if Barney missed on both Skrull rolls. Also under the new rules, both have been assigned actions, even if they were foiled by bad rolls, so they keep their action tokens, having wasted their actions.

It's up to you if you want to go by this rule or not. It sort of follows along our house rule for break away, in a way. At the very least I'm ok with you redoing it for this turn at least.

We could house rule it, yeah.

I do think we play maybe a little too loose with Shape Change and should tighten it up a little bit and wait to make the Shape Change roll until the attack action itself is ready to commence, so no checking before you TK the attacker, and basing where you place them on the Shape Change roll, since that's a separate action. And things like Perplex, or Outwit. Those are separate, free actions. You have to do those before the attacking action and before checking Shape Change. No switching what you Perplex or Outwit based on the roll. I think that's a fair compromise.

So, Obelisk Action: Fandral gets TKed to where he is.
Free Action: Fandral Outwits Luthor's Super Senses.
Fandral's action: Fandral declares his attack, fails Shape Change, has no other valid targets and so he passes. He can't decide to Outwit Lex's Stealth instead at that point.

"Oho! The kitten has claws!" Volstagg said, returning her sword thrust with a riposte of his own.

"I am no kitten," Nu'bia said, insulted.

"Nay, a full grown cat for certain. A predator of the most dangerous sort," Fandral corrected her.

"Men! You disgust me," Nu'bia scowled and lunged at Fandral, who parried with skill. In a moment, they were locked in savage battle, swords ringing.

"Thou'rt a fine swordswoman," Fandral complimented her after the swordplay had gone on for several passes.

"I am an Amazon. We are trained in the arts of war since birth," she pointed out.

"Then I am in for quite a fight, I suppose," Fandral smiled at her. His usual charm seemed to have no effect however, and she pushed even harder. For a moment, Fandral was hard-pressed and gave ground. With a burst of effort he went of the offensive, regaining the lost ground and forcing Nu'bia backwards instead. Takeng advantage of his momentum, he swung his sword in what would have been a devastating slash, had it hit, but Nu'bia's combat reflexes were too good. She twisted away from the swing, but misjudged the amount of roof that she had left. Her back foot stepped down, met no resistance, and she overbalanced, tumbling off the edge.

"NO!" Fandral yelled, dropping his swond and grabbing for her, but he was too late.

"Fear not Asgardian," Fred said. "She is an Amazon. Such a fall should not be fatal to one such as her."

"Then twould seem it falls to me to deal with thee, green-skinned one," Hogun said, charging the Super Skrull.

"Your misfortune, then," the Super Skrull said, and Hogun's mace met with the Thing's rocky hide. A moment later the alien went invisible altogether.

"That is a cowardly way to fight," Hogun scolded him.

"I simply use all the advantages available to me. That is the wise way to fight."
