2 things:

1) what type of paint do you use? that white seems to go on nicely and is that those pen type things for the black symbols?

2) i was suprised to hear i really like the invisible woman si sculpt. I hate the mug on that one and i actually feel the body isn't as "refined" as it should be. what do you think? obviously the others are awful though.

1) I tend to use FolkArt and now Crafter's Acrylic for most of my paint. The color I opted to use for the base is actually 'Dove Grey' which is what I have been using as my primer..........oddly enough. The symbols are painted on........a little bit at a time. Make the line and then edge it until it's smooth.

2) The Str Sue sculpt is one of my favorites female sculpts for my customes. It's very veristle.
I've used it lots of time as you can see at my photobucket or specifically one example is my Black Widow.

NICE. i have a black widow ill be sharing soon. its made out of mary jane, black widow ult, and spider-girl.

I wasn't sure if I was going to put something on his chest but it looked so bare that I had to do something. I thought of doing a inversion of Reed's, then I considered doing 3 empty hexes but I settled the three black hexes that seems to be an all of the 'other' uniformes..........maybe Val asked him to.

Well I didn't/won't have enough points for a proper Doom on the team so I found a dial that I thought might play like a good Doombot and help the rest of the team and their lack of good range options. I really like the WoS Spider who wrecks the keyword theme so I didn't have to go looking for something with the keyword. Also with the Doombot on the team I can blame anything that goes wrong on that accursed Richards! And really, that's what is most important.

At least with the cresent based sculpts moving customs around is fairly easy.

omg dude, these are so disgustingly awesome! you painted all the blk symbols and stripes on em? i figured it would have been with a fine pen. what size brush did you use for the fine black paint work?

Thanks. No pen work yet. I don't remember the exact brush I used but it was probably one of my 'OOO' ones.............the size doesn't make that much of a difference unless I'm doing something that is stupid small (like Black Tarantula's face spider.......that I did with the sharpened tip of a pin) I make whatever symbol I'm going for as best I can, then edge it to make the image a bit sharper...........I typically do that twice(symbol, edge it......back to symbol, back to edge it) unless it turned out really well the first time.


You haven't gotten a beat down from them yet and seen them in person? Odd.

With any luck I'll be getting some new dials for them in GG. :fingerscrossed:
