Went to see Our Idiot Brother because Paul Rudd generally amuses me. On the whole this was an okay movie. Nothing was especially funny, but it was endearing without being completely trite. Also Rashida Jones looking super-dorky was something... and then she and Zooey were kissing which was pleasant.

Watched 'Priest' last night. It was OK. Nothing great, and I've never read the graphic novels. Of course it was left open for a sequel at the end. The thing is: will they make one? I am not sure how this movie did at the box office, or if it made enough for the studio to warrant making a sequel. I'm definitely glad that I watched on Shaw On Demand, and didn't pay for it in theatre.

The film cost 60 Million to produce
World wide the film grossed $76.5 million

So basically, yeah, no sequel then. Not with less than $20 Million profit. Maybe, depending on how DVD/Blu-Ray says, and on demand/PPV sales go, a straight to video sequel? Maybe...................

Fitzcaraldo is next in my queue, but I wanted to see the making of before the thing itself given it's almost legendary nature. Terrible and fascinating stuff.

I don't know, they are planning on making a sequel to Green Lantern and last time I knew that was still Millions and Millions of dollars in the hole.
Last movie I saw in the theater was "The Help"
It was an extremely good movie and was entertaining, charming, and eye opening. I have a hard time believing that America was ever like that yet I know it to be true. It makes me ashamed of what used to pass for acceptable in our country and for what is still allowed in some areas today.

Anything is possible after all they made 4 sequels to The Prophecy and they all SUCKED not even Christopher Walken could polish these turds which I suspect is the reason he walked away from the franchise after 2 & 3 came out.
I watched "Hotel" with my dad last night, because it had just come in the mail, and he's a big Rod Taylor fan apparently. It's a nice film, nothing great, one of those movies with a large cast, and a lot of subplots running through them that only occasionally dovetail with the main plot (that the hotel is in danger of being bought out by the corporate jerk type).

According to http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=greenlantern.htm it's just made about $6 Million worldwide. Too bad, because I really wanted it to succeed, but it deserves it's fate. It was not a very good movie.
