Wow I really like this dial, and I haven't had much interest in lotr clix generally. There is something about the combination of enhancement, leadership, running shot, stealth, and willpower that is awesome, and the psuedo-LIVE! click is obviously a great boon. And yet his overall lack of attacking power seems to balance it out just fine. Really like this dial.

But what does that have to do with people thinking he has a short dial? I was confused by that comment.

Why is there no "ranger" keyword? Or "archer" for that matter? Both appropriate for this set.

Ranger would have been appropriate.


Why not Keyword in LotR for races?

Dirty human scum vs Elves or Hobbits vs Orcs.

Make it the start of a Fantasy type Clix game like Mage Knight again.

Better yet, reclix Mage Knight and horrorclix to create more variety.

Very nice for the points. 8 range is huge now a days. Plus I really like archers.

Dial is awesome, yet the keywords are lacking, Ranger, Gondor, Minas Tirith, Osgiliath, or possibly even Ruler. I think the keywords have tons of potential for this new set of clix because these guys are anything but generic for keyword description.

Very good, Just going off of memory his dial is better than his brother's, except his brother has that amazing epic action ability which would be devastating in a scenario game. But Overall I am very very pleased with this set, they just need to reveal the LE's. My best guess the repaint will be Gandalf the White!

Given the Frodo/Sam duo appears to be a LE. Since I doubt they'd sneak peek a chase.

I'm guessing the Merry/Pippin duo is also an LE. So no Gandalf the White this release.

What is with their obsession of activation clicks?

Cause most of the time it makes sense.

This one is still useful before he hits his second click though.

3 damage somewhere would be nice, but I do like the dial and sculpt.

How is that an activation click? Yeah, he picks up a couple of powers on the second click, but he has his highest combat values on the first click, along with his white power that grants him stealth, running shot and enhancement. That's hardly an activation click.
Great figure for the points, and with a little Perplex backing him up, I can see him being extremely effective. I'd like to see what he would have cost without the 2 clicks of Running Shot at the end of his dial. I really like the fact that he's an effective ranged attacker and Boromir is a close fighter. They should play well together.
