As I said, that is a rule that has been in effect since the beginning. Their side seems pretty solid to me. All this because they won't change a rule that has been in place throughout every league for months. Collusion destroys leagues, too, and it would open up all kinds of problems if they were to change the rule. And to make an exception for one person would not be fair to the rest of us.
World of Warcraft manages to hold large competitions, and many MMO's, for real and valuable loot. They have MILLIONS of players and many of them come from the same IP (I know - I've done parties with 12 people on the same IP running for big loot which is worth A LOT more money than what is put in HCO). I don't buy this story for a moment.
More to the point - they *approved* rule changes, and then went back on it in the 11th hour. Oh ... and then without consultation they tried to steal the player base from HCRealms by moving the forums. All bad faith in my book and enough to lose my limited support forever.

Where can I see where they approved the rule change, then went back on it?

I can understand why you would still play since you mentioned no real games in your area. But why on earth would you defend them? It's obvious to everyone what they did was wrong.

Defend the fact that they've had a rule in place throughout 2 Leagues and nobody had a problem with it until now? All I see is a bunch of people trying to destroy a company over a silly rule that all my Fantasy sports leagues have. And there is a reason for that rule to be in place, to prevent collusion. How is that wrong?
Actually I had a problem with it. I was unable to play in league 2 because I did a friend a favor as he had no paypal account so I paid for his copy of HCO. Because of that we couldn't play. No collusion even thought of!
arsenal it's more of a straw that broke the back thing. The rules thing was just the start then the blatant move trying to get all the forum traffic on forums they control and routinely delete threads that have any sort of negative thoughts about the company. In my opinion they do have some good people working for them but others are total dick wads. Yamah seems like a decent person but on the other hand Faxan is an asshat that is a real troll of a person. I don't think this will kill the game but I do think it will drop the people buying product as well as the people online at anytime, last night there very around 30 people on where as normally there's more than 50. I do hope it goes on but realistically any company that has customer practices like this one does won't be worth supporting in the first place.

Withdrawing from HCOL Post #4. Unless you don't believe that he wrote the rules change like he said.
In this case, Icarus seizing control of something the team here at HCRealms created at their request without any explanation is prima facie evidence that they're up to no good. If they want to offer another explanation, the ball is in their court.

You can do what you want to, and you don't have to explain it to us, but thou dost protest to much, me thinks.
Mine is the 25th post in this thread, and seven of the previous posts, nearly 25% of the total, are yours.

I have to agree with Surfer13. And to compare Clix to Fantasy Football, where you maybe buy in at the beginning of the season to play, to a game where you have to continually be purchasing new figures to stay competitive, seems goofy.
While I don't necessarily want to see a company "destroyed", I do think it is classless for them to not be reasonable, especially if it comes down to family members wanting to play in a league. Considering hcrealms provided prizes to the HCOL and did not receive anything in return (other than maybe some advertising I would think), well....
With that said, I also understand your position. Good luck in HCOL 3. Sorry there isn't a venue nearby where you can play. Then again, that doesn't guarantee a venue is a good one either.

This just sucks my huge dice. I just started to play HCO but now I think I will just stop till they come to a fair decision. Still feels like a waste of money now.
