Let's say that blocking terrain is a wall he is adjacent to that doesn't share an edge with his square. He can't legally punch it. Can he shoot it? Alternatively, that Enhancement thing Rohrshaka-laka-paradox mentioned.

While you can use the damage increase of an object used in close combat to destroy blocking terrain, thrown objects (excluding the Statue) cannot be used to destroy blocking terrain.

The rules for throwing objects specify the target as a character. You can therefore only throw cats at people. You cannot throw cats through wall.

Unless you have improved targeting ignores blocking

What about cows?

I wasn't going to use the light object (cat) to destroy the blocking terrain (wall), I was going to use the blocking terrain to destroy the light object.

Is that also illegal?

Could have used a friendly character to outwit your battle furry. Also, I would think a cat would give you B/C/F as well.
