Atom Smasher shrank to normal size and Shield and Checkmate medics rushed to treat his wounds from Chemo.

As he was being treated, both Shield and Checkmate agents began interviewing him. because he was from Earth 2, neither agency recognized him.

As Captain Atom set Chemo down in a remote area of the Sahara, he was ambushed by Metallo, and Silver Swan.

They were sent by Luthor at the behest of the Midnight Rider who was trying to keep a low profile so that Luthor could add Chemo to his private army.

The Midnight Rider had been noticed too often by the superheroes so he was trying different tactics to remain unseen.

Metallo and Silver Swan managed to take down Captain Atom temporarily and Chemo was whisked to Luthor's new hideout.

By now, the focus was on Validus, as Wonder Woman and Giganta joined the others in trying to take Validus down.

Despite Validus being attacked by Colossal Boy, Elasti-Girl, Giganta, Wonder Woman and Hercules, no one was getting anywhere with the brute.

Trying to grow larger then Validus didn't help because it didn't give them any advantage.

Eventually, Giganta and Elasti-Girl fell from mental lightning bolts from Validus.

Colossal Boy had been trained to resist these by Saturn Girl.

Suddenly, they were blindsided by the Emerald Empress and the Persuader; who chopped Alloy in half with his axe.

The Emerald Empress managed to knock the others out with a blindside blast and the two collected their Fatal Five teammate.

the Midnight Rambler engineered this rescue as well.

Before the heroes could recover, Dr. Psycho appeared with the Barbara Minerva Cheetah and collected an unconscious Giganta.

Dr. Psycho looked longingly at the unconscious forms of Wonder Woman and Elasti-Girl but the Cheetah shut him down when she noticed it.

The Cheetah viewed Dr. Psycho as an unfortunate ally and was not going to tolerate his other proclivities.

The Midnight Rambler was very happy with today's events.

He liked how he'd handled the current arrivals for his master.

Let others do the heavy lifting! Why hadn't he thought of that before?

Eventually the superheroes regrouped.

When they came back to their senses, Chemo, Validus and Giganta were gone.

Silver Sable and Paladin approached them and explained they were in the sovereign state of Symkaria.

The Shield agents and Checkmate agents rushed in. The object was to interview the new arrivals.

Atom Smasher was delivered to JSA headquarters in Capital City and he had a grand reunion with the other JSA.

Stargirl was especially happy to see her "brother" and dropped a big kiss on him.

She began filling him in on the problems of this new world, in particular, the trauma of the Walking Dead.

Eventually, she took him to meet Doc Samson.

Colossal Boy arrived in Smallville and rejoined his missing teammates plus one.

Kid Quantum was something new for him as she belonged to a different Legion reality and although she knew about him, the knowledge was not reciprocated. Like the others, he knew nothing of her.

Giganta awoke to Felix Faust's secret sanctorum. when she saw where she was, she panicked.

Eventually, she realized she was with desparate villains who also had a bone to pick with Wonder Woman.

After Elasti-Girl was released from her debriefing, she wasn't sure what to do. When she learned that Midway City existed here, she insisted on returning there.

When she got there ( thanks to a Shield helicarrier) She immediately found Doom Patrol headquarters and had no trouble entering.

Alloy was bereft of any anchor in this new world. Doc Magnus was nowhere to be seen in this world and only Doc Magnus knew where they came from.

Alloy, decided it would try to seek out it's old enemy Chemo, to give itself a sense of purpose.

Hawkman and Hawkgirl paid a visit to Elasti-Girl. As they were from Earth 2, they were unfamiliar with the Doom Patrol or Elasti-Girl.

The three got acquainted with each other. Elasti-Girl was familiar with the Earth one Hawkman and Hawkwoman whom Carter and Shiera Hall knew as well.

Elasti-Girl told them about the Doom Patrol.

Alloy had no idea where to begin looking for Chemo, so the amalgamation of the Metal Men sought out Batman for advice by heading for Gotham City.

It was confronted by a Bat Sentry which recognized the entity as Alloy. It halted Alloy and the two machines interfaced.

Batman was summoned and after learning that Alloy was a futuristic version of the Metal Men, he decided to give the being purpose. Batman promised to watch for signs of Chemo and bring Alloy along to confront it when necessary. In the meantime, he convinced Alloy to join Elasti-Girl in Midway City and help protect that city.
