Wow ... you're completely underestimating what they all bring.
Note #1 - This is a THUNDERBOLTS FF pack. If you don't want to play, or use them with the Thunderbolts, then the pack is going to seem *meh* to you.
Note #2 - Thunderbolts keyworded figs have quite a large, and varied selection at this point in time. You can really mix and match a LOT of things. Again, if you're not a fan of T-bolts, YMMV.
Note #3 - The T-bolts ATA has been held in very high regard for quite a while. It's been argued to be the best ATA of all given how much variety it grants in selection, and with a T-bolts themed team, it's just gravy to heap whatever team ability on them you want right before the game starts up.
Now, that all said, I'll just point out what each character brings to the table that makes them well worth the points and your $, though.
Deadpool
Keywords - Assassin, Deadpool Corps, T-Bolts
- This brings *some* utility outside of T-bolts only theme teams. The DP Corps is just fun, and assassin teams are down right lethal. He's plenty theme-build friendly despite being part of the FF pack.
Merc w/a Mouth - he can do the word balloon thing. This just lends for a ton of versatility and it's a free action to swap 'em around, etc. This makes him nearly a swiss-army knife on every possible click he has.
Always a Volunteer - this grants him stealth and sidestep as long as he is the furthest of your figures out on the map. That's 99% your control, so for the majority of the game you can keep him stealth protected and side-steppin' to your heart's content. Serious value there!
Want my Autograph - this, essentially, is the spider-man family ATA traited on him. Not only can you t-bolt him to pick up a TA of your choice (Avengers Initiative?), he can freakin' wild-card the TA's of your opponent!!! What's not to love about this?
Add to this that on every click he either has perplex or prob control showing up, and he's AMAZING!
Elektra
Keywords: Assassin, T-bolts.
-Pretty good w/assassin teams, or t-bolts, but that's it. Even so, on the assassin team, you can T-bolt ATA her and pick up something awesome to help the assassin team! 2 solid, and strong themes there.
White power for the whole dial - grants her stealth and a +2/+1 CCE choice. That's just .... nasty!
The kicker - 75 points. What's not to love about that?
Punisher
Keywords: Soldier, Thunderbolts
- Again, excellent keywords with deep benches = plenty to team Frank up with and still be themed.
Improved Targeting - ignores characters and hindering terrain, and can make ranged attacks against adjacent characters. It's not just the sharpshooter - it's better. He can hide behind his own team and shoot right through them!
He's got outwit for a good couple of clicks ... and he can see through hindering and characters ... and has a better range. Play him with Shield TA people, and his range can hit 10 ... for everything. He's nasty and dangerous. Well worth his point cost, imo.
Venom
Keywords: Soldier, T-bolts
- Same as Punisher here. Deep benches and lots of team-up potential.
Yes, Sir - sidestep when adjacent to a higher point character. Kind of tough since he's 125, but sidestep is very nice period.
-The saving grace? He has 2 starting lines. The 75 point one is much more likely to see this put to use.
He almost has a whole dial of RCE and shape-change for protection, and then nearly a whole dial with EE and two bolts to make it count. This guy can cause a lot of collateral really fast if he double targets properly and the set-ups allow for clustering on the opposing side.
Red Hulk
Keywords: Brute, T-bolts
-While odd that soldier is not present (), brute has a lot of options, and T-bolts has been talked to death at this point.
Black Ops, Off the Books - traited stealth, and leadership. What's not to love about that for a Red Hulk figure? Oh, wait, he also lets adjacent T-bolts use stealth (hi Punisher, this one's for you! ). He's freakin' Sharon Carter for the T-bolt's of the universe. Far more expensive, granted, and far more useful, too!
His defense is soft, but he's meant to be kept in hindering terrain (hello Stealth) to be his primary defense. Additionally, he's got nearly a full dial of outwit. 2 clicks of regen on the backside, poison to discourage close combat attackers. He's nasty! Plus, he can make ranged attacks.
You're really underestimating the utility of the figures, man.
And the map!!! You forgot the map!!! A flooding submarine is AWESOME! And for old timers who have played this game from around the beginning, you get an updated version of the original mall map!
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
But you could choose Marvel Knights ATA and then you get Stealth
You can't tbolt another ata, only tbolt marvel team abilities. You can only have one ata on your force and hypothetically if you could tbolt an ata your characters might not have the prerequisites to use that ata and would then become wasted points.
Origins 2015 Lotr/Hobbit event: First Place
Eternal Games: 2016 Regional Winner. 2016 Super Q Top 16. 2017 Super Q 5th place
I'm more annoyed that the GF Deapool has the Asset on his card, but doesn't have the colored click numbers to denote where he'd start from if you Solo'd him.

I think its 1, 3, 5. But i haven't looked recently

I really could care less if he or Rulk had team assets on their cards since I barely use team bases as is.
In the words of Rocket Raccoon:"Ain't no thing like me, 'cept ME!"
T bolt to mystics or ultimate X men, and you are going to be doing just great!
-Mercy
-Electra
-Rhulk
-Deadpool
-The map
Just those are worth more money than what I waste on this FF
In addition
GF Deadpool
Main set DP
Rhulk
Punisher
Deadpool
Venom
Speed Demon
Bullseye
Main set IIM
Juggernaut
Crossbones
And I have more great characters on my team than I need for TBolts
Just to note...
Traditionally, you need a Team Ability to exist on a modern age character in order to use it with stuff like T-Bolts in a modern age game, so depending on the game format and/or the judge's ruling Ultimate X-Men may not be an option.

(Special-circle) Merc with a Mouth: Give Deadpool a free action and attach a word balloon to him, replacing any currently attached. Deadpool can use the associated affects.
(Special) I'm Actually an X-Man?!?!: Deadpool can't use the X-Men team ability to heal other characters. When another character uses it to heal Deadpool, he heals 2 clicks.
(Special) Healing While You're Missing Me: When an opposing character targets Deadpool with an attack and misses, deal that character 1 damage and heal Deadpool 1 click.
