...why would you perform a ritual that has no chances of succeeding, but will end the day prematurely?

Just to lay out, let's say the Formula for it succeeding is X% * Sum(All Lore).

We're all at 0 Lore (well, almost all, I imagine there's one or two with something). So there is literally ZERO chance it succeeds. Other than in ending the day.

Just going over the special rules now.

Day 1
The citizens of the Louisiana town gathered around. If anyone knew anything, no one was giving off any tells. Some left the main group and tried to arrange what was needed to find some clues, but nothing came of it. With what little they new, perhaps it was for the best.

The deep darkness of the night descended quickly upon the town. After most had retreated to their homes, a bonfire went up far into the woods. Mayhem would be raised this night.

Night 1

The bonfire burned hot and high. At a nod from the high priest, several cultists broke of from the group, knowing their missions. The rest of the cult continued to dance and chant around the bonfire.

The man owed it to the girl. He would find out how had killed her. He figured the place she was found was a good place to start. He headed into the woods. Before he had gone far, he saw movement out of the corner of his eye. A lithe shape moved at lightning speed and was gone faster than he could blink. Looking down, he saw blood running from a gaping wound in his chest. His last thoughts were of the girl he had failed.

rorschachparadox is dead! He was Robert Diamond, a man trying to discover the killer of a girl he knew for only a short time.

Night 1 is now over! Day 2 starts now. You have until February 4th, 11 PM EST. With 12 players, 7 is majority.
