Ok, this is when I know I've both too little time as it gives me enough time to think up crazy things...
Designed some rough rules for a boardgame I'm currently calling "Stories from the Cabin" based on the movie Cabin in the Woods. If any of you want to try helping me refine and give it a whirl, let me know.
Also been toying with starting a series of "Tales from the Cabin" Mafia games (showcasing different possible events from around the world in the years leading up to the film). Logistics due to my twist would make it runnable in a timely manner, for once, and get me back to writing on here.
Just not sure of interest levels.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

I'll try this again but with less words.
1) We have 9, 8 if you assume Queb and Mags can't both play. *flips a coin* Mags gets the nod for the first game.
2) Vassal or Digital Tabletop? Vassal is free. Some games will work okay with multiple boards but it'd be nice to have the digital boards connected through one of those programs.
3) 8 players means we need to split into two groups of 4. Or, more realistically, we end up with 4-6 players and should pick a game that scales best over that range of people. (Betrayal at House on the Hill plays up to 6 and Dead of Winter plays up to 5. Both contain traitors, co-op play and horror themes which are right up our alley.)
4) How about Saturday, January 30th, 7:00 pm central?
I'd be down for this. I own Dead of Winter, Imperial Assault, and Battlestar.
I would like to put forward Letters from Whitechapel as a suggestion. A really good deduction game, no cards or random elements makes playing online pretty easy, and there are some good online tools for the game I've seen.
I'm very interested. Just saw this thread today, but I'm always up for games of any variety. My schedule is a little inconsistent, so I'm not sure I'd want to sign up for an RPG (despite some interest in playing), but I'd be up for about anything else.
In particular I'd LOVE to play GoT, I've played a couple times but it's hard to get to the table. This might be perfect. I'd also love to play The Resistance, picked that up a while ago but haven't gotten to play yet. It would definitely need a mod but I think it would be a natural fit for a mafia group.
My Steamname is Jackofhearts2005.....and Jackofhearts2k5. I don't know how I did this.
You can even buy a 4 pack for $30 and gift it three more realmsers to make it $8 a pop if you were so inclined. I have a very high opinion of Steam and TTS.

Funny thing is... I can't. Since moving back to Australia, I had to cancel my Canadian credit cards. And I haven't replaced them yet. And I don't think they'd take cash. So I have no way of paying for this at this time.
(Unless I ask the boyfriend to buy it for me. But man do I hate doing that. I need my own credit card again. Damn this having no credit history in this country).

Plus, isn't it like the law or something that you're not allowed to have a video game unless the rest of the world has had it for 5 years?
