They definitely had a bit of a rebuilding period after last year when the roster got ransacked. But it is uncomfortable that they regained all their steam right around the time there's inevitably going to be some more call-ups.
I keep thinking of the line "One bad apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch". That the awful ending to the Taker/Reigns match shouldn't overshadow the number of good matches we had tonight. Like I feel bad for Taker retiring, but I almost feel worse for Reigns, because this is not going to go well for him. Nothing about this made him look good.
But I don't want that to take anything away from the matches where the right guys won. I dug a lot of matches tonight, finale notwithstanding.
I certainly didn't care for the Orton/Wyatt match. And the mixed tag match did nothing for me, though I absolutely need to see what bonkers thing is going to inevitably upset their wedding.

With all the nonsense that was going on with the Bray match, I really wanted Orton to put him over.
I get that they were trying for a supernatural bent/old school Undertaker thing with the Wyatt shenanigans, but they probably should have only limited the projecting on the canvas thing to just once and figure out a couple of other bits. Vary it up.
But it pretty much became irrelevant since none of it worked on Randy.
The show started off hot and I really enjoyed a lot of it despite fearing the worst.
The Bray/Orton result , HHH/Rollins , Undertaker/Roman matches had pacing and result issues that slowed my initial enthusiasm.
Styles/Shane was my main card match of the night and the Hardy's surprise return was great.
Was at Raw in Columbus a couple weeks back and it was awesome. After I noticed they didn't have the tron on the ring and had just the regular ring skirt, I had a feeling they would do the "collapse" spot. Was amazing to see in person.
This past week, the triple threat for #1 IC contender match was amazing. And having Miz go over, was definitely the right call. Even though we have seen Miz/Dean about 200 times.
