STOP means a specific thing. Older "stop clicks" where very inconsistent.
Absoloutely, and to beat a particularly horse shaped pile of glue: there are no older "stop clicks." Not in the game, at least, in the game there are only STOP powers.
And while "stop click" is something we players came up with as a short hand that Wizkids then adopted after a fashion, this illustrates the problem with using unofficial shorthand when talking rules/teaching the game.
Because we all got so used to calling them "stop clicks" that some of us don't understand why they're different. Hell, I haven't even played with STOP enough to remember that it has to be damage from an attack now.
Sidenote: I hope these "key phrases" (ie, STOP that has a full description versus CLOSE that is described in the rule book) is printed on the PAC for reference.
Or at least gets a section in the rule book so it's easy to reference (page number in the table of contents).
