AI Tigra is a good figure to pick up for Avengers teams (or any team). The opportunity to give everyone on your team Charge and BCF, for only 50 pts, is phenomenal. I played her with the other AI chases in a 500 pt game and the game was over by the 4th turn. So many flurry attacks haha.
However, it is not worth the price it is going for now.

I guess that’s a matter of opinion, but to call her unreliable seems a bit misplaced. With a flurry attack she’s got a pretty solid chance of rolling a 3, and even if not she’s still doing Flurry/BCF on her own, while pumping up adjacent friendly’s close damage, with a stop click, for 50 pts. Oh yeah, and Power Cosmic so she can’t be outwitted.
But, I would like some tips and strategies on how to use this team, before going in and using it. I know that with this team, I get 8 THEME TEAM PROBABILITY CONTROLS, but I would like to know the best way to use these guys, like what figures I use.
In my opinion, this is one of the best Iron Man pieces in recent memory.
So many options with his attack. Also, not getting a token on move actions, letting him position and carry without having to clear next turn, or get out of a bad situation without pushing.
Also, I love that Scarlet Witch, use it all the time, with Jane back there healing her she is even better. You really should run a Hulk with her though to fully utilize her power. I personally like to run the AAOU starter Hulk, because I am a horrible person, but the TMT starter Hulk is so much value at 50, especially with SW doing her thing to him.
Firstly, you only get 5 TTPC. The new rules cap it at 5.
Second, I suppose you've got some support on there, but it still feels a little bit light with more of an emphasis on attackers. In that case, you'll probably need to play a little tighter with your positioning, but you did say from the start you had a specific set of characters you wanted above anything else. This will certainly meet those qualifications, and it can do some work. I disagree with some of the figure choices, but none of these are particularly bad.
Third, on the note of Hulk, I would recommend the new big Hulk instead of A:AoU. The old one doesn't hold up as well anymore, and this new 350-point piece pretty much replaces that well.
Non-binary. Please refer to me in "they/them" pronouns. Thank you.

That hulk won't be an arm and a leg to purchase mind you, JordanLego.
295 points of Avengers if you include mainset AI Giant Girl @20. There is no way to currently represent her play lines but I like her 20 point line for this build.
Shifting Focus beats your opponents Colossal Retaliation and you have 3 retaliators that can go off all in the same turn.

DARN IT! I can only use 5 TTPCs!
Well... I guess it does make sense and keeps the game balanced.
So, by "play a little tighter with your positioning," what do you mean? Does that mean that I need to keep most of my characters together? Because I wouldn't have a problem with that. I admit that in my past few games, I've had the tendency to split my characters up. And the Captain America that I have on my team has Super Soldier Serum, which allows him to use Close Combat Expert and Empower. Now, I have a question about Empower. According to the rules, it says the following:
Quote
Adjacent friendly characters modify damage +1 while making a close attack.
So, let's say that Captain America is making a close combat attack, and 2 friendly characters, like Falcon and Scarlet Witch, are adjacent to him. Does Empower mean that Cap deals +2 damage if his attack hits? Or does Cap modify the damage of adjacent friendly characters?
One more thing, I really, REALLY, REALLY want to put Spider-Man on my team, and I have this one:
My problem though, is that I'm a little conflicted about who to switch him out with.
I'm conflicted on the whole premise at this point for many reasons, but I'm also the idiot that continues to post here, so any grief is kind of on me if I choose to keep this up.
Ok, rules first. Technically, the guys with Empower are modifying, but I don't see much difference. The Rule of 3 still exists. You can't use Close Combat Expert for +2 damage and get an additional +2 from 2 Empowers. It'll cap that at 3, so when using CCE in that scenario, you're generally better getting attack from it.
On Spider-Man, that figure is probably a little bit too versatile, but that's from a man living in "a simpler time," if you'll pardon a pun. Spider-Man here can't really be put in a designated role. He can be tie-up with CR and SC, and improved Super Senses all protecting him, but he's rather expensive for that role. He can stall with double-Incapacitate, but he likely won't be protected by CR if he does so. Particularly given your team's size, I'd put him more on the tie-up end, as he can Hypersonic for 10, but he can still reasonably hold up in close combat. To that end, I'd suggest removing some close engagement. I'd honestly remove Thing in his place, and you'll have 15 points left over for whatever special items. Fantastic Four fans have pretty much come to terms with how they simply don't work as well as they used to, and probably won't for a while. Keeping Thing around would be purely sentimental, and if we're talking about what plays best here, that seems like the play to me.

Hey, everyone! So, I would like some helpful tips on making an awesome Avengers Theme Team. I want to include CAPTAIN AMERICA (he is my favorite Marvel Superhero, so he is a MUST!), Falcon (Cap's trusty partner), Hawkeye, and Ant-Man (Scott Lang). So, recently, I got in the mail the first 3 from the Avengers Assemble set and Ant-Man from Age of Ultron. So, if you guys don't mind, I would like some helpful hints and tips, please.
I want to direct your attention to a piece that frustrated me completely in a recent game. Since so many figures are now lower than 80-points and ranges are generally short, this guy can dump a huge number of tokens onto opposing figures that are close. Add adjacent SHIELD team members to increase his range value.

He is a great Cap, I also like the starter set version which effectively has Giant Reach 6. What's that Steve? You wanna use the Enchanted Ball and Chain to gain quake while standing on the lip of elevated? Tremors as far as the eye can see.

Wait, which starter set are you referring to? The Mighty Thor starter set?
[EDIT] Oh, nevermind. The Avengers Age of Ultron movie starter set.
