Mmmmm I think you should think about maybe stocking up more on traps and stuff that can counter royal decree in your side deck. I dont know the monster set up seems strong but it might be stronger if you have more traps that chain.
Ceasefire? Skull Lair? Time Seal? Raigeki Break? Something like that I think Raigeki Break will be pretty good now imo I think its better then Lightning Vortex. But thats just my opinion I dont know try something.
First off take out that susa soldier and 1 scarub as well 1 locusts.Put in 1 more wave motion, last will, and messenger.Add in another cannon soldier. That is all that I can think of.
Thanks for the suggestion S0litude. I'm thinking of testing a third ectoplasmer and a level limit area B in the place of one gravity bind and one bottomless shifting sand.
This deck seems to mainly win through launching Mobius, Susa Soldier or Royal Keeper with Ectoplasmer.
DM Duelist: Thanks for the advice, but the Susa Soldier has been testing really well and it seems that it might make the final version of this deck.
Everybody: I'm trying to build a new deck archetype out of this thing, so if you want to give it a try, go ahead. It's Bottomless.dec and I honestly think that it has potential.
You have a good number of removal cards, but you need more control over the m/t side of the board. Swarm of Locusts is good, I'd suggest trying out more trunades, mebbe a MST. That, and Dust Tornado would help deal with non-chainables and Decree. Your creature control is GREAT. It was giving me some real troubles.
Maybe I should go 3 ecto, 2 bottomless and run a D-Tornado. Maybe swap a gravity bind for level limit area B.
The reason why I'm not going with mainly messengers is that, while they are controllable, they cannot stop Don. Don wins games. Therefore, owning Don is a good thing.
I also prefer gravity bind over level limit because the opponent is less likely to set a monster on the turn after Graviy bind is put on the field.
The sideboard is up for grabs right now.
The deck seems to need some point and kill removal against things like V-lord or the pheonix. Not 'killing' either of those is a big problem. Ectoplasmer seems to be my best bet at this point in time.
Side deck:
Wave motion Cannon
Curse of Royal
???
What else guys?
PrismWeapon: Thank you. I've been thinking about trying to go earth based and use giant rat and Des Lacooda instead of mystic tomato and cannon soldier. I'll give it a try.
Wizard Excel: Thank you for the compliment. Feel free to netdeck this thing or whatever. The mark of a good deck is a deck where most everything works well together. Synergy is key.
I love the concept. It's grand. I also like the deck particuarly, very original, thats good in my book. Now, I don't have much for a fix since I really know nothing about this deck, but I'd like to learn more. I'd suggest using Malice Doll of Demise in this deck, because you can use it multiple times, with ectoplasmer, and get it back to wreak some havok on your opponent. Try it in 2's. Maybe sub a Chiron?
-1 mobius
-1 SoRL
-1 reckless
+1 jinzo
+1 messenger
+1 cold wave (agrees with other person)
ok i get how u use the sands to keep your opponent monsterless. but how do u intend on keeping 4 cards in your hand. that really limits what u play, keeping everything in your hand. plus confiscation is still around, so all they would have to do is take out any card, and sands it gone.
and cyber dragons... they run in 2's and 3's. this would be very ez for them to get 2 mon. on the field and mess up ur plan if they had the right cards in their hand. so plz explain some of the stuff i noted
Thank you Aroura. Maybe you should try using a deck like this yourself.
R1989118: In answer to your question:
Bottomless.Dec does not ONLY rely on Bottomless Shifting Sands or Ectoplasmer to get the Job done. The card actually requires that you have MORE than four cards in your hand come your standby phase. All that I need to do to maintain that is to play only one or two cards per turn and keep their resources low.
First, I trigger Bottomless Shifting Sand before their End Phase and get an immeadiate 1 for nothing advantage. Then, for every turn that I play conservatively they lose one more monster in addition to whatever I'm already doing with swarms or stealth bird or other options.
Remember, even if Breaker or MST or Dust Tornado kills off one of the FIVE Bottomless Shifting Sands or Ectoplasmers in this deck that is still a one for one trade and since this deck plays conservatively the opponent will only be digging themselves in deeper. Wasting one of their precious 4-6 pieces of S/T kill on Bottomless or Ectoplasmer simply means that the decks stall components (again, FIVE), Wave Motion Cannons and Different Dimension Capsules have less to worry about.
As for Cyber Dragons? Go ahead, less cards for the opponent means a better chance for this deck to win. If they rush into a situation that they cannot hold then they lose. Simple as that.
Often times this deeck does not win through burning the opponent alive. It usually wins with a mid-game swing against an empty field with Royal Keepers, Swarms and other monsters, usually assisted by Cannon Soldier or Ectoplasmer for the win many turns before a normal burn deck could pull off a victory.
The deck plays more like a combo deck than a stall deck. More Ben Kei than Burn/Stall, if you get my drift.
Thank you for the suggestions, I'll probably be trying out cold wave sometime soon.
