[/quote]One thing, I would've liked to seen them on a more level playing field. It sucked for Flash to lose his powers when he traveld to the Marvel Universe, and then without explanation, get his powers back enough to go home.

Actually, he did explain it, and he didn't get his powers back in the MU. WHen his power had disappeared enough that his internal vibrations had slowed down, he was "bumped" back to the DCU.
This will be interesting. There is something definitely wrong with Cap and Supes.
I think that Mjolnir to the jaw of Supes answers the question if he is vulnerable to Thor's magic. But it will still be a good battle.
I'm not sure how this will all match up. One thing to think about is that Quicksilver is a speedster in a universe with the speedforce now. I see a sudden escalation of power to make him competitve with the Flash. I think the other wildcard will be the Scarlet Witch. What kind of Chaos magic will she tap into in the DC Universe?
I would have loved to see some of the implied fights (ie Batman vs. Punisher and Lobo vs. Gladiator) Oh well.
Still looking forward to the Cap vs. Batman fight. In Wizard #0 Perez says he did draw it, so it will be there.
Overall, very interesting. Looking forward to Issue 2...
We are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved
I was a bit worried about the high price but it was DEFINATELY worth it for this comic..Anyways for big story points i belive Thor REALLY Hurt Sups there he IS more vulnerable to magic and it hurt him more than normally but hes tough enough to hang in there for a bit longer.Im betting Bats didnt kick Punisher around like a midgit joker thug but im pretty sure he stopped him from killing anyone and probably was a slight step above him.I loved all the cameo apperances throughout the comic im pretty sure Lobo kicked the heck out of Gladiator too .Finally i thought the different perspectives was a GREAT idea and although neither group is exactly right about the other they still have some points.Cap and Sups probably arent being mind controled but they definately seem as if they are being manipulated and only the most negative ideas of the other possible
I was laughing out loud and cheering at Hawkeye's "I get it... they're a bunch of Squadron Supreme wannabes... five gets you ten they're being mind-controlled..." I have wanted that line for the past five years. Seeing it there... and coming from Hawkeye, the same way it should have... oh, I was a happy, happy man.
Oh, and The Vision? Hawkeye beat you to telling us there was mind-control involved.
How is the continuity cooking? I have no intention of getting hung up on it, but why aren't there any memories of Marvel vs. DC here? I can't recall a mindwipe at the end of that series. Did I miss something?
Lobo vs. The Imperial Guard: look at that panel and feel assured that Lobo will be dealt with. Gladiator hasn't shown up yet.
Iron Man has a Mother Box. This means one thing to me outside of what we've been shown: he's going to be the man to put down in this knock-down drag-out fight, because that Box should keep his armor running at 100% every time he takes a knock.
Oh, and the Grandmaster is an Elder of the Universe dedicated to gaming in all its forms, and a wily plotter of enormous scale. Elders of the Universe are the last members of the first races of the universe, and each of them wields the Power Primordial to different effect. They have survived by the monomaniacal pursuit of a single purpose, differing for each of them: i.e., the Runner wants to see the entire universe, the Champion pursues athletic competions, etc. I'm not certain when or how he got his mind back after "The Thanos Quest", where he was fighting Thanos in a virtual reality when Thanos killed the connection, trapping his mind in a virtual world that wasn't there anymore. He's turned up before masterminding the first Contest of Champions, and has suckered Death into denying the Elders from her realm (these may have been at the same time. My knowledge of the first Contest is poor). He was also the brain behind the Elders' nearly successful plot to kill Galactus and end the universe so that they could be reborn in the next as Galactus-type entities themselves. Hope this helps.
Have a Great Day,

My end goal and greatest hope: Mat 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
I guess I'd agree that the JLA came out of #1 with the slightest edge (although that closing blow from Thor leveled the playing field to a degree.) Anyone notice the panel that showed Supes bent over collecting himself? His resonse ought to be good! I'd say the momentum will shift back and forth a few times before things are settled.
As to who will whip whose butt? I think they come to there senses and team up against the greater evil before anyone gets seriously damaged. Just my opinion...
I can honestly say I really enjoyed this... I agree that the side stories would have just about made this book perfect, had we been able to see them. Gladiator vs. Lobo... Skrulls vs. Thanagar…. Brood vs. Mongul… I’m thinkn’ Perez has some one shots to do here!
I think the current confrontation will be a short scrumish with very few ( but powerful) punches thrown. The level heads will stop it before it gets too heated. By the way those "Squadron Supreme wanna bees" lines are killing me. I LMAO. Man that was funny. If they keep up this pace, I'm confident no one ( with the exception on bigsexystudman) will be disapointed.
Originally posted by Darth Sabre Don't know about the MC, but definately there wasn't something right with two of the most level-headed individuals in comics.
I'll be happy to see a po'ed Superman's response to Thor's attack.
Batman thrashing Punisher was something that we should've seen....
You could feel the story intesify through Superman and Cap's reactions.

Still agreat start to something bigger! great writing, great artwork....next month can't get here soon enough.......
Not seeing the punisher batman fight would have taken precious page space, and I think it was a nod to the fact it wasn't really a fight.
also they explained it, when flash's vibration slowed down he poped back into the dcu.
