Unfortunately, I did not get to attend the tourney until late (I had to work). But I was there later with my friend, tried to trade a little bit, and then we left. I want to start the process of becoming a Level 1 judge for Yugioh, but I do not know how to begin this course. I done a limited search on the Internet, but was hoping that maybe one of the Level 1 or 2 judges here could point me in the right direction.
Let me know if you require transportation in March for the SJC. I live in Orlando and I'll be at the event for sure.
I'm currently in the process of doing some "deck scanning" and I have made some changes to my Side Deck. Because of the ongoing "scanning" and playtesting, the Side Deck is incomplete once again and won't be finished until a later time....
The Main Deck, however, has tested surprisingly well as it is....
that getsu fuhma card is genius with all the dark world and spirit reapers going around. id run another or side board it if i were you. other then that it looked great and i hope you do well in future tourneys. :)
After going through its 1st run of tournament experience, the deck ran mostly well in winning the tournament (had to win 2 matches in final round to win tournament, Double Elimination)
Getsu Fuhma played a strong part in the tourney running over at least 1 Reaper per match and they just couldn't handle 3 Enemy Controller!!!
Even if it did run well, it's almost close to Regional ready....So any comments?
Great news about hearing you take your local tourney. I didn't get a chance to make it to my tourney, but in the casual side duels I had, Sangan would fetch a reaper, and I would smile because I was holding a Reinforcement or Getsu in my hand.
I have one mained and one sided, and I just acquired three controllers, but one is staying in the trade book (gave up a DD Assailant for it). I am also thinking of maining the second NoE and replacing the Sakuretsu Armor's for Trap Hole. I should be able to kill an Assailant, DDWL, or even Mobius when he hits the field, rather than wait for an attack.
Sounds good, sounds good. The Trap Hole idea doesn't sound too bad (also liked the Blast w/ Chain vs. Soul Control idea, that rocked) so I may try that and a Bottomless S/D (for Soul Return decks)
I like the look of your deck phenom. If it's been working so far, I don't see much point in offering suggestions. I do have a question for you, though. How do you use your Enemy Controllers? Do you use the change attack position effect or the "change of heart" effect? or both since you have three? and which of the two do you prefer?
I've had good experiences with them in the past and no one ever expects them. I say test them out and see what happens.
What I like about Trap Hole is that it takes out DDWL, DDA, Tomatos and Dons and Dekoichis and even Mobius. What I don't like is that Cyber Dragon laughs at it, but then he attacks my LV4 and I flip Rush Recklessly and level up in THEIR end phase :)
And I think Phenom25 uses his controllers the same way I use mine, block a DDWL or a DDA from taking out LV6 or LV8, or putting a freshly summoned Mobius in the fetal position for LV4 or even Dekoichi to munch on :)

I use Enemy Controller's effects both offensively and defensively based on what cards are in my hand and what monsters are on the field but more than likely, I'll use the Battle Position effect over the Control Switch. This is how I use both:
Battle Position:
Used on Gorillas & Reapers (more likely Gorillas)
Damage Trigger monsters (Don Z, Airknight, etc.)
Game ending attacks (offense & defense)
Set up purposes (Horus LV4, Mirage Dragon)
Extensive use purposes (Spear Dragon)
Control Switch:
Battle Phase Control (D.D Assailant & stronger monster or final attack w/ monster brought by Call)
Combo disruption (example: taking attack position goat token/searcher before Creature Swap resolves)
Requirement filler (MoF gets Pot of Avarice w/ 4 in Grave, MoF makes 5th monster)
I had Drillroid in an earlier copy of this deck and I use it to extend the use of its effect...Increasing the mileage, if you will. I also (and continue to) use it with Spear Dragon.
It basically depends on timing and how much of a control/damage gap you want to create...
