The Six Samurai have broken into the Top 16 of two Shonen Jumps. They latest build centers around Reasoning instead of Card Trooper like most of the early builds were using. The deck still has a few consistency problems, but it's getting better everyday.
People are determined to break the Crystal Beasts, though it still hasn't happened yet. Eventually someone is going to come up with the right formula, but it might not happen until after the next ban list goes into effect.
Card Crush Virus is really the new hot thing. I love the fact that the Shonen Jump prize card is having a huge impact on the tournament scene. CCV really wreaks havoc on Monarchs.
Thanks for the info. The crystal beasts look interesting, but I don't know. Maybe they will prove me wrong. The Samurais caught my eyes as soon as I saw them. I need to boost my collection a little though before I try to build a deck around them.

samurais are great, and surprisingly they are continuing to get support(as opposed tot he tons of monster families that were released and then forgoten like archfiends, gravekeepers etc)
They are already tier 1 and with the stuff in glas will get even stronger. Plus they are not too expensive. Grandmaster is hard as heck to obtain, but everything else in the deck is dirt cheap, so assembling the deck should not be too hard.
Right now the Grandmaster and teh Shogun are the ones that I am missing. They might be easy to get on e-bay, but that has to wait for payday. When
I first saw them about four months ago I wanted to build a deck with them, but training happened, and now I am behind the curve. It is good to hear that they are tier 1 already.
