If you look at the info about the Rerelease of: The Legend of the Jade Phoenix Trilogy by Robert Thurston. The last paragraph reads:

This collection will be of particular interest to current MechWarrior: Dark Age players, as the Jade Falcons will be key to the MechWarrior collectable miniatures game in 2004.

If there's only one more release this year...Then we'll be seeing green later this year! I say bring on the Pryde's!

hey, they could make omnimechs a new game mechanic- if any mech's name ends with 'omnimech,' you can customize stats based upon a card that comes with the mech!

Hmmmm, I'm willing to bet that the ROTS and HL will be getting quite a bit of units in the next expansion due to the shafting they got during this set. Liao, SS, SC, and BR will likely be shafted next set due to the incredible amount of stuff they got this set (even if a lot of it was junk). Jade Falcon might release the next set, I'm not quite sure what to expect from that. (Maybe non unique Summoners and Mad Dogs [Thors and Vultures] considering those were the Jade Falcon Mechs...) That would be nice.

Everyone seems to forget that the SW got less units than the HL.

There'll be wolves too, yes. And I would LOVE to see the JF and the SW clash, and then of course have the republic and Highlanders come in to mop up the salvage.

There will be at least one other faction introduced after Jade Falcons. Not sure if it will be the same set or not however.

yeah, but they got the Kodiak instead of the Longbow, and also a nice Arrow IV tank to go with the Padilla they already had.... and mortar teams, and MK I infiltrator BA...

I collect wolves and highlanders, among others, and the wolves definitely got the better units by far... btw, DF got few pieces too, but they got the bounty hunter, a DF mortar, atv squads and an Arrow IV tank, so they aren't doing bad either....

Slightly off topic, but what colors were traditional for Jade Falcon (or is there such a thing)?

Well my guess is:

They will stick with the 124 unit set (1G, 2V, 1E for nons)
Jade Falcon will be intro'd
Agility mechs will be near non-existant
There will be only 1 or 2 ICE sculpts
We'll see a mech(s) with a vent of 4
It'll come out in April or May
There will NOT be any more arty infantry
Arty will no longer be insanely accurate.

Further guesses:
-Before the release more changes will be done to tone down the new arty madness (known as the SS A4).
-Before the release more changes will be done to charge because the last one was deemed insufficient to have any real impact on gameplay.
-Before the release tank/arty-drop will get nerfed.

Please note: None of this is based off of any inside information .. these are just pulled-outta-the-air guesses.

I think that it'll be SS or SC that don't get any units in the next set. I think we'll see a lot of HL, ROTS, JF, SW, with a few 7-12 each of DF, SH, LI and tiny bits of BR, MERC, SS or SC. I also think we'll see an increase in set size to 156 or 172.

Draggdog has said it will come out after the summer (southern winter) conventions, which is more like late August than May. this makes sense when you think that there are only two expansions this year.
