24 movement of any unit is worth the points. In the case of the Liao sprint, the idea is to base artillery on the first or second turn, just like the atv squads. You accomplish 3 things at once by doing this; 1) You base artillery, taking it out of the action for at least one turn, probably two, 2) You get the jump on VC3 and 3) You force the opponent to deal with with the vtol, robbing him of an order he or she could otherwise use offensively. If you are lucky, you get in, get the jump on VC3, steal the order, and get out before being destroyed. I admit that now with the atv squads, they seem to be the more worthwhile units for this purpose, but to say the sprints are the worst is not accurate. Another good use for these units is to keep anything from basing your artillery. With evade at cruising you are a hard target to hit. Not only do you get a buffer zone to your artillery which covers more area than an infantry unit, but nothing can base the vtol. They can race out at a critical moment and base an incoming unit if need be.

For me, the very worst of all is the amazing SC JESII
For 70 points, you get:
3 damage streaks (2 targets)
3/12 range
6 speed
8 attack
18 defense (albeit w/ armor)
135º front arc.
For these stats, you have for ex. the SC JESIII (which is already a very bad unit), with:
same damage, no streaks
same range (3/12), same targets
+2 speed (8)
same attack
+2 defense (20)
-1 click of life
for.... 31 points - 50% less!
I believe there is NO unit that is SO overcosted, useless in ANY situation, completely overtaken by just about any tank of any point cost.
It cant fight mechs with a 8 attack.
It cant fight vehicles with a 18 defense
it cant fight infantry with a 3/12 range
it cant fight vtols with 12'' range, and 135 arc, and 8 attack
it cant fight artillery with 6speed
It just looks good - yeah... looking good costs 50points...
Combat Engineers are cheap for high damage and attack. The Spirit Cats do 3 damage (against all but Mechs) at 8 attack for only 10 points. Hard to use, but tell me what the cost of the second cheapest unit that has at least 8 attack and can do at least 3 damage? SH Combat Engineers, at 11 points, and can do 4 damage max.
All the other stuff mentioned are just poor for their points. Even the Sprints have their use.
But MASH vehicles? Their primary use is worthless, and their secondary uses (walls, rammers, basers, etc.) are better done by units around the same point cost.
The HL uller doesnt qualify, because it is bested (worsed?) by the SW Wasp - witch is an amazing mech that peaks at an amazing 8attck/18def!!!!
A great, really bad army would consist of SC JESII, SW Wasps, and SC Towed A4s for artillery - the most innacurate artillery in the game - the only arty to need a 12 to hit a centerpogged unit. (HL Long tom needs an 11, BR long Tom needs a 10, Rusty cooper needs a 9).
With some Laser batteries for infantry support.
my vote is for HL Uller. Although the elite infantry with point defence of 18 don't get a lot of love from me.
I can't bag on Pyro, I won a battle royale with him at GenCon last year.
I would go with an all MASH army if you have that many. Then if you don't put in some command vehicles and then try to take some space up with those ugly construction mechs. No infantry so you won't have them capture whatever you give them. And nothing with range. Also try and get as many different factions as possible. Wait is that allowed? Is it faction pure sorry this will affect your army. Maybe some Garrots to go with those mean Mash and Command vehicles. But those might be too mean. Just remember don't let them capture anything by not giving them infantry or if you do give them infantry don't give them infantry that moves and let them stay where they were put by giving them no transports.
