my friend pulled one, but didn't have the stones to play it. i don't know why, i would've in a heartbeat. sure, i don't like the df all that much, but it's the bounty hunter, for god's sakes! if you've got it, flaunt it!

In the one and only game that I played against the kodiak, the kodiak never saw anything but the first click and 14 clicks down the dial...
(DFA for 8 and followup cc for additional 6)
Not many take dual BR Lego these days. Why? Most people who do take a mech in competitive play will either be taking agility mechs or mechs with very high defense from the start. Thus a charge from a BR lego will either do minimal damage or completely miss. Nobody in their right mind is going to assume all or even most of their opponents are NOT going to hold to this meta. And that, of course, is just the players who even bother taking a mech. Most will just use arty with a screen. It's totally pointless to take a BR Lego rush against that.
So yes while the dual Lego rush might be something the Kodiak would have to be leary of ... the odds of anyone nutty enough to play it is slim ... and the odds of the Kodiak and Lego player getting paired up are even less so.
You want to get the Kodiak to his spot? Simple. Take at least 1 arty piece. Odds are your opponent will have some infiltrating infantry to zip in to base it. If you are player one then that will give you at least 1 shot with yer streaks on to help get to that point. And he has a 0" min so you can base and still use the streaks.
If he doesn't come at you with any targets for you to plink at then your arty is free to rein death and destruction on the board.
I picked up the BountyHunter as one of the mechs from my boosters for the CA marquee held here. When I saw that come out of the box I was stoked! Played him to a treat. His cool dial means he avoids the things he needs to very easily and can get back to where he needs to be very quickly (evade is sweet!). Also used a merc ForrestryMech MOD-B in the same force and learnt really quickly that charging a SW Rifleman is not such a great idea (5 clicks of damage put him exactly in his sweet spot - my damage to self plus his return fire vapourised the MOD-B!!!!).
I won 2 out of the 3 battles that day and only lost the third because of VC3. Would use him again except I traded him on the day for the SC Marauder which I intend repainting in GhostBear colours and style.
I love Bounty Hunter. When the other player uses him that is. He usually becomes too confident with such an impressive LE and marches up the field w/o support (which can't be bought because 326 was wasted on BH.)I charge the fatboy of DFA and tie him up and just whittle him down to nothing.
I only use mechs in artillery-free games, and managed to play BH a week or two ago.
He's rather cool, at least after I parked him in water. I took out two SC sun cobras and a really fat Drummond, and only got shot at once the whole game (thanks to tying everything up with ATVs and such).
Fun piece, but no formations or pieces above 90 points in Pogwarrior, it's just that simple.
Man... BH is fast... I guess people dont' realize that when they play with artillery and stupid armies. But we dont' play with artillery, and BH is quite a huge peice. People I know add two peices of hindering, and run between the two, and it has a 25 defense... which is impossible to hit.
I think the points are not wasted(unless you use artillery against it) And it is just an Awesome Mech.
small problem with your idea. BH does not have JJ so he has to stop as soon as he gets on or off of your elevated swamp terrain. pog warrior time to keep him off/on top of the terrain. of cource could just place a few infantry at the entrance point and he cant get off either :)
