If it's not in my three factions (plus a few Mercs) it holds no value to me. I dump anything not SS/HL/DF ASAP.

Power units and secondary market is little concern...it's more of a hinderence than anything. When a "hard-to'get" unit does fall under my factions it sort of annoys me. With the little money I make I don't enjoy surrendering big bucks for what I want for my faction collecting.

I collect ROTS and i have a pretty big collection

I collect Jade Falcons, I have from the start of me playing in January of '03. Every thing else is just that, else and I have a whole lot of else.

I hold on to 1 of each unique or LE that I happen to come across and one of each non mech/veh/inf that I find to be non-####. :)
Make that at least 3 infantry that is non-####.

I collect Bannson's Raiders, some Steel Wolves, and Spirit Cats; my brother collects Swordsworn, Highlanders, and Dragon's Fury. Whenever each of us gets a unit from a faction we don't play, we trade it to the other. I find that since nobody hangs on to their Bannsons' figures they are easier to get and I don't have to trade as much for them. I need Steel Wolves vehicles and mechs now; I traded away Shin Wolf and a Maxim, and I forgot that I wanted to make a SW army.

I am trying to collect everything.

Well, I'm due for the prozac shuffle with LeeEnfield.
This is my SECOND collection. My first burned with my house last October. I had EVERYTHING up thru Liao, and most of that. Corle even gifted me his favorite SW Mad Cat III when he left. Now that's all so much air pollution. Did I do the smart thing and just walk away? NOOOOOO! Proof that I have no discernable learning curve.

I started w/ the Dragons, Bannson's and the Clanlites. No that Jacob's thrown in w/ Liao, I'm trying to get some of their better units.
I keep just enough Swordswworn to keep the snakes honest and run the occasional border skirmish.
Mercs don't do much for me, but I have a hard time letting them go as they were such a big part of the CBT stories I enjoyed.

gotta getem all.... although I've had intermittent spurts where I just give up on that concept..

I try to get as much ROTS as possible. The next up the list are the StormHammers and to some extent, the Kitties. I've been trying to get my brother to play for a while, he only wants to play only when a Dire Wolf (Daishi) becomes available in Mechwarrior.

All this guy do I do except for the RoTS, I only go for the Knights figs, and the Rotem, since I already have mine in the reserve status. :)

And btw, I also try to get some Merc vehicles and infantries to augment my HL forces in the battlefield, but I paint them with gray, black and gold - HL's Royal Black Watch Command.

I have every piece of each set up to FP. I have Four LE"s from that set so far. I believe in having it all.

I collect all that is Capellan. My wife, Ixxy, collects Northwind Highlanders. I am going to start picking up the non-LE part of Clan Jade Falcon in August.

Just think of it, Liao and JF faction abilities intertwined and just the more deadly. :p

I have pretty much quit buying the new expansions but if I were I would only be trying to aquire House Liao units.

It's the one faction I like and the rest of my collection is collecting dust.

I'm trying to collect all the Dragon's Fury pieces I can. I'm missing about 18 different non-uniques and only one unique/LE (Gunsho Jun'ko Oshiro).
I also keep any Republic units and Spirit Cat units I get and I hunt down a few certain units that I really want to get for them.
Then there are the Stormhammers and Mercs. I keep them, but I don't actively seek out units for them.

All other factions are trade bait. Well, except for the Jade Falcons and Sea Fox. I'm not sure where I stand on those two groups yet, but when they come out, I'll decide whether or not to keep them.
