SC,SS,and JF

I voted more than four, but not all of them because many times i will collect certain figures because I like their sculpt or colors. I tried playing SW, but I just HATE waiting to get to the "sweet spot" of the dial and when AoD is released I plan on trying my hand with SH/House Steiner to go along with BR, DF, and CJF. I may even try more SSw/House Davion as well, but I will wait until after AoD is released to make my decision on changing to a new factiion.:p

I voted 3. But really I'm mainly after one (you can take a guess which from my avatar). I also am keeping some of my BR (whatever is not retired) since the LI have the Grand Alliance with them for now. And of course I will continue to collect Merc since they can be used with anyone. I might keep a few pieces here and there from other factions ... but not much.

2 for me; Swordsworn / House Davion, and Mercenaries. I know mercs aren't a faction proper, but they're close enough for me.

I put down 3, but it is more like 3 1/2. I play SC, Liao, and SW, but I also like the stormhammers. I do collect and kept some hammer stuff, but I don't try to get it like I do SC, Liao and SW. Over all I would say I would rank the faction I collect in importance as:

1: SC
2: SW
3: Liao
4: SH

I used to play SW/BR, then SW/LI, and now, since it's been hard doing two factions with low resources, I just play SW. Though I don't try to collect all the SW pieces, I try to at least have the ability to play competitively (:p... which is yet to come).

Gotta collect em' all! :p :)

I noted that I collect based on playability, which is true. But the factions I focus most on are SC/DF, in that order.

Well after going all out to get all the Jade Falcon stuff I finally decided that they do not meet my play style so now I will have to unload all of them Sigh :o

So now that just leaves me with 2 complete faction collections and 2 Minor factions...........:classic:

Minor fun to play factions
A. Bannson's to support my Liao units
B. Spirit Cats because I still feel like playing at least 1 clan style faction. Plus they fit my play style.

I started with just 2, Bannson's and Dragon's Fury from Dark Age, and I have the ridiculous numbers of industiral mechs to prove it. When FFE released and I became a Battlemaster, the Republic became my main faction. When a friend left the game, I picked up his Spirit Cats collection. By the time I was finished buying Counterassault, I had at least 1 of every piece available for each of these 4 factions.

With the advent of retirement, I've realized I don't need one of everything and paired down my collection. Going forward, I plan to pick up only a limited number of pieces from the new sets, and they will only be from these 4 factions.

As one of two envoys for our venue, I almost feel it is my responsibility to have as much as I can, so that I can be able to loan out pieces to the guys who need "just that right piece" to finish their armies, so I voted for all of the toys, er, collectable figures.

Besides, I like to shake up my friends in casual play, and try pieces from factions I normally wouldn't touch.

Used to collect all but my aprt. is small and if I want to get any AoD past the front door (and the GF) i need to cut it down to 3. And clear out room for them. So bye-bye my seldom used stuff.

My first starter: Mainly DF units.
First booster: DF Jupiter.
Second booster: DF Blackhawk.

You'd think I would take a hint . . . but after reading the fluff, I decided to switch to HL. Caden Senn was a big factor as well, so I sold all my non-HL stuff on eBay. Then I got Dianne Jameson and started collecting SS. Started RotS with Jonah Levin and then FFE. Collected BR for a while, but dumped them just before Faction War to get extra HL stuff. I still sell or trade or give away all my stuff from other factions.

You know, I have never gotten even one HL or RotS LE from WK as an envoy reward. I almost always get SC or LI or SH, usually in multiples. I've only gotten vehicles for SS.

So I have 3 factions plus some mercs, mostly Woolf's Dragoons and Ronin.

I voted 2 factions. If I had the money, I'd try for everyone. Since I don't, I've limited myself to two.

RoTS, strictly due to the fluff. I wanted to be the "good guys".

Clan Jade Falcon, strictly due to the coolness of the mechs. And it's fun to be the bad guy sometimes. ;)

As an aside, I'm also hoarding Kell Hounds, but that isn't a full faction (only about a half dozen units), so I didn't count it.

as a collector, i used to collect both kitties and doggies. later i focused on single faction - kitties .

i dont have all units from my faction, its somehow related with awailability of product in country where i live (since DA no other sets where distributed into stores around here).

i will, that's current plan, buy few units (few LE's) that im missing in following weeks, when set retirement will kick into effect and usa/canada players/collectors will trade off their units.

as a player, i also collect 'playable' unit from other factions for those occasions when i want to play 'color' armies.
