Historically, the Triumverate was a group of three men (including Iulius Caesar) who ran the Roman Republic. What it means in this context, I'm not quite sure.
As for the Blood Spirit-Blake connection, I wouldn't nessesarily say that that's the case. It could just be one (or a handful of) Blood Spirit in cahoots with the Wobbies. It may just be Blood Spirit's Watch (although I was under the impression that Blood Spirit had been Annhiliated or Absorbed).
Given Clan Blood Spirit's 'survive by any means nessesary' past, it could be concievable that they might have started working with the Wobbies to keep their bloodlines intact.
Of course, with all of these conspiracy theories abounding, it's important to keep the following facts in mind:
-Conspiracies require people. Usually lots of them.
-People talk. Including conspirators. Given the shear number of people required for such a vast, Sphere-wide (and beyond!) conspiracy, some one would blab at a bar or one of them would commit a crime and the police would stumble across something odd, and start tracing it back to its source, eventually uncovering the conspiracy.
I wonder if the Knights Templar are going to make an appearance, or perhaps the Freemasons, or the Illuminati, or....
@ Rannax Hall: Have you read the book? Some of your comments seem to be made based on general knowledge and not from anything in Blood Avatar. If you haven't read the book, I think you should, as your knowledge of modern-day (and CBT-era) conspiracies may help you fill in some gaps others of us are missing.
@ LaoCain (highlight to read):
You ask if the Handler is a double/triple agent? I think it's a resounding yes! (I know, I know...) Look Zodak or Kodza or whatever, obviously IS a double agent (at the least), since she was reportedly from the Legate's office, and then we find her working on a CLANdestine agenda. So, if we make the leap that the handler is her true employer, I would say that the Handler works for the Triumveriate, simply because the Blood spirits ARE annhilated(otherwise I would choose the clan).
Uh, that writeup comes from sometime in the 3060s. We're in the 3130s.
There have been hints that during the Jihad and the apparent civil war among the Clans, the Blood Spirits were annihilated.
Can someone point me to those hints? I've read every book in the MWDA universe, and every PDA entry on the WK site. I can recall no mention of Clan Blood Spirit ever being discussed. I seriously do want the references; I'm not just being a prick about this.
Most of the comments on that came from the old INN articles. A lot of little tidbits used to be in the forums-like comment article after some of the articles.
As i have mentioned in many threads, I don't know much about CBT. However, I don't remember reading anything in Blood Avatar about Clan Blood Spirit, unless you are referring to the ring that the L. guy was wearing ( can't spell his name). As for the talk about working for the Clans, I see this as a big possibility. Kodza (or whatever she calls herself) probably is a double agent of some type, maybe even a triple agent ( as all things come in 3s ;) ). Just my $0.02 here. Maybe this book means something as far as WoB, maybe not.. All will be reveiled in time and more books. :p
