Personally, guys, I seriously doubt I will buy any Nexus. I've been a fan of MK since day 1, and except for a break for about 4 months around the time Dark Riders came out, I've been very active. Unfortunately, the tourney scene in my hometown hasn't been as cooperative, but I digress ....

Bottomline, I play only in sanctioned tourneys. This means unless something seriously changes by year end then I'm out around years end. With this in mind, I see no reason to buy Nexus.

The new Am drac may not have quite as beefy a ranged attack but think about the fates of those forced to base her. Ouch! Put a relic on her to boost attack and she'll tear 'em up with ease.

I tend to agree. Unless our current Warlord and I come up with ongoing scenarios (after the WK storylines dry up) that attract our players, I'll probably not be able to find willing players.

With that in mind I'll be buying Nexus for sealed booster tourneys only. Otherwise I'll be eBaying for those particulars that I want to put in my (unplayed :D ) Conquest armies.

Yes, but you can have multiple Maelstrom Golems because its not unique, so you can have a conquest army of 20 Maelstrom golems!

I officially want to say "told you so" to everyone who told me that I was over-reacting and just plain wrong when I said that Nexus was a very bad sign for the game since the set was all reprints.

The writing was on the wall, but so few wished to read it.

Anybody have a link to the Maraxis preview? Maybe I'm just blind but I don't see it here or on the WK site.

His stats were up for a little while, but they took 'em down for whatever reason.

He costs 115 points and starts with two clicks in which he has 11 :wing: speed, 11 attack, 18 defense with Invulnerability and Defend, and 4 damage. Then for two clicks he switches over to 10 attack with Weapon Mastery, 17 defense with Toughness, and 1 damage with Crushing Blow. Then he has one click where he's just got 9 attack and 4 Crushing Blow damage. And after that, he's got five steadily-falling clicks in which he has no abilities.

He's up in both places. It's not 'Maraxis', though. It's 'Miraxis'.
