Yeah, he did after the Infinity Gauntlet was split up and Adam was forced by the Living Tribunal to divide the gems. When Adam gave Drax the Power Gem, he ate it....
Captain Mar-vell
Non-Affiliate
"protector of the universe"
cost: 5
Attack-12
Defense-12
* when Mar-vell is recruited search deck for plot twist. put in hand.
*Mar-vell may reinforce any Affiliation.
(there is no secrets that Cosmic Awareness cannot unlock.)
even though Mar-vell was never on Thanos power scale he always stayed with him. 5 is a cheap cost for 12/12 but take that in addition to the ability to adapt to whatever the situation by drawing a plot. makes him worth his weight.
Drax the Destroyer
non-affiliate
cost:6
attack-11
defense-11
*discard one resource during combat Drax gains +X atk/def. X=cost of resource.
*pay 6 endurance return Drax exhausted if he should be KO'd.
"I cannot be destroyed, it is my gift, my curse."
Keeping along the lines of Darkoth, Drax is not a thinker so destroying resources makes sense to power him up.
*an opponent with a cost of 3 or less cannot attack Starfox without first discarding 1 from hand.
Eros can easily manipulate the weak minded. but his power doesn't usually work on tougher opponents.
Quasar

*All Equipment cards played on Quasar are +3 to all bonus'.
Quasar's ability to manipulate light is copied here by enhancing whatever equipment he chooses to employ.

*when warlock is recruited he's +2 atk this rd.
Activate-KO opponent with a cost of 5 or less. if opponent is equal to Warlocks cost or more KO Warlock, pay difference in cost. KO opponent.
(Warlocks power is a curse as much as it is a blessing in combat. he can defeat any opponent in his way, and is not afraid to sacrifice himself.)
Hey WebDev,
As promised, I found my attempt at the Infinity Gauntlet...
This attempt at the Infinity Gauntlet is based on an idea I posted a few weeks ago. It has now been tweaked and adjusted thanks to input from various VSrealms members…
EQUIPMENT
Comments: The gems are all unique and transferable since you need them all to complete the gauntlet.
INFINITY GAUNTLET
Cost 9
Unique. As an additional cost to recruit the Infinity Gauntlet, discard two cards from your hand.
The Infinity Gauntlet may be equipped with any amount of Infinity Gems.
When Infinity Gauntlet comes into play, search your deck for a plot twist card. Reveal that card and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck.
Comments: I decided on this approach because the gauntlet without the gems is just Thanos’ glove. I also didn’t want any character to become God before turn 9. I added in the search ability so that the player could have the opportunity to assemble all the gems this turn.
MIND GEM
Cost 1
Unique. Transferable. Pay 6 Endurance -> Opponent reveals 2 cards. Players chooses any card from opponents hand and discards it. Use this power only once per turn.
Comments: Simple but effective. Discard ability and give you the chance to see a few cards as well. Very useful later on. Also it clearly represents reading and controlling your opponent’s mind.
TIME GEM
Cost 1
Unique. Transferable. Pay 6 Endurance -> Players either skip the next phase or repeat current phase. You choose. Use this power only once per turn.
Comments: This one may be a little too crazy but I like it. Many ways to use this. For example, you can skip the combat phase, repeat the draw phase for more cards, repeat the build phase to recruit more characters (this helps a lot since you’ll need six characters out in order to have all the gems on the field). Represents time being manipulated.
SPACE GEM
Cost 1
Unique. Transferable. Pay 6 Endurance -> At start of combat phase, you may move characters you control and equipped character can attack as though he or she has flight and range.
Comments: Control over space means you can teleport and teleport your teammates hence the abilities.
POWER GEM
Cost 1
Unique. Transferable. Pay 6 Endurance -> Equipped character gets + 5 ATK/ + 5 DEF this attack.
Comments: Infinite power well represented. If you have the endurance to spare you can easily increase your power by 10 or more and if you have the gauntlet you can get tons of endurance.
REALITY GEM
Cost 2
Unique. Transferable. Pay 6 Endurance -> Move target opponent’s resource from his resource row to your hand. Opponent places top card of his deck face down in his resource row.
Comments: 2 Cost so that you shouldn’t be able to get all the gems before turn 6. Even if you did, the endurance cost keeps you from abusing them. This is a solid way to represent reality manipulation since you can steal any resource (which could be any type of card) and use it for yourself. This way to can use your opponent’s old plot twists, kill his on-going plot twists or locations, etc.
SOUL GEM
Cost 0
Unique. Equip only to Adam Warlock (7 drop). If Soul Gem is transferred from Adam Warlock, KO Adam Warlock. Activate -> KO target character.
Comments: Costs nothing because I feel that Adam should be a 7 drop and restricting it to one character is enough of a balance. As for the ability, I figure if you steal someone’s soul that should definitely KO him.
PLOT TWISTS
THANOS’ QUEST
Cost 9
Play only if you control Thanos and only if he is equipped with the Infinity Gauntlet.
Transfer all infinity gems that you control to the Infinity Gauntlet.
Ongoing: Activate Thanos -> If Thanos is equipped with the Infinity Gauntlet and all 6 of the Infinity Gems, all players KO half of their character cards from the field rounding up and discard half of their cards from their decks. Player who controls the Infinity Gauntlet gains 5 Endurance for each character card put in the KO’d pile this way.
Comments: Thanos has just become God, what does a Mad Titan do? Kill half the universe of course! This effect is also the big battery that makes Thanos all powerful (or whoever has the Infinity Gauntlet all powerful, heh heh). KOing half of all the characters on the field as well as discarding half of each other’s hands should increase endurance by at least 20. Now even though Thanos is now exhausted, you can use the extra endurance to use almost all the gems powers to your advantage (skip the combat phase, increase ATK/DEF by 5/5, discard opponent’s cards, steal resources, etc). But if your not careful, right when you are about to achieve victory someone might play…
ORDER RESTORED
Cost 9
Play only if Thanos has been activated. Transfer any Infinity Gauntlet in play to a character you control.
Ongoing: Activate Adam Warlock -> If Adam Warlock is equipped with all 6 Infinity Gems, you win the game.
Comments: Adam saves the day and everything is right in the known universe. The good guys win! Only Thanos can collect all the gems but only Adam Warlock can automatically win the game. Plus if you don’t want the automatic win, you can use this plot twist to make any character “God” since they would then gain all the endurance from Thanos’ activated effect.
There, that’s it. Like I said before, some great things about it and some flawed things about it. Any comments or advice would be appreciated.
Ah, that's some crazy stuff there SR24. Sort of a game within the game. It brings up interesting possibilities.
Lots of fun stuff in this thread overall. I like Captain Mar-vel's stuff as well. I still think Drax should get a big bonus if Thanos is in play though, destroying Thanos was his primary goal in life.
Drax could be like a modified Dragon Man. Whenever Drax attacks Thanos he gets +X ATK.
I also thought as a side note to my Infinity Gauntlet idea would be that any member of the Infinity Watch that gets equipped with their gem gets a turn endurance bonus of +3 to spend only on gem's power payment.
i agree. i was thinking about that last night after i looged off, Drax should be a 11/11 when opposed to anything named or affiliated Thanos he's +5. when ready cannot be stunned.
Captain Mar-vell should have a low cost for the power simply because Eon tightened his reflexes. he's quicker on the draw also grabbing a plot twist could either be any one or the next one in your deck. i still think he should be a 11/11 or 12/12. with a 5 drop.
While the game is sort of flexible on the power levels of various characters I think Mar-vell is probably around the same level as Drax. Doesn't really matter in this game though overall as we have seen that different versions of characters can have varying stats.
I was thinking at first that you are right that Drax might want to only have a Dragon Man type bonus, but then again I was thinking to represent Drax's determination to kill Thanos and just in general his hatred for him it would probably make sense to give him an ongoing bonus as long as Thanos is in play. Getting the bonus as long as Thanos is in play sort of represents him being able to stomp on other people in his quest to get to Thanos.
thing is i know they'll make the dummy Drax. when the original version was so much more focused and dangerous. remember Gamora in that ship when she was with Thanos and all of a sudden she see's Drax in her viewscreen. then he plows through. awesome.

so you get to punch your opponet until he is knocked out? SWEEEEET XD
Actually the Souls gem does the work for the KO. Warlock has taken down Thanos,Magus,Mephisto, you get the idea. but it's a strain on his own psyche to use this power. their maybe should be a cost of say 3 to do this actually. then pay difference to eliminate Tougher opposition.
