yay, that pic of Doomsday and supes is kool. best one there. i'd prefer something like this though;
doomsday stading over a dead supes. laughing or doing somethin evil. with fire and destruciton ro lighting behinde him. you know, something chaotic. i could be something against anything that's "unbeatable". i hope doomsday is a charachter.

Oh, I don't think the question is whether or not he's a character. I think the question is if Upper Deck is planning to lump all of Superman's general villains into LexCorp (like they did with Spider-Man's villains in the Syndicate) or not.
If they do, I can definitely see Doomsday being LexCorp's highest costed character.
Originally posted by DynamicDuo I liked the idea about doomsday getting bigger after getting stunned, after all he was sort of like an engineered superclone, right? how about :
Doomsday 1 drop 1/1
Whenever you recover Doomsday, he gets a +1/+1 counter for each resource you control.
While Doomsday has 10 Atk, he cannot be the target of plot twists your opponents control.
that shouldn't be broken, right?
Hmm... well, let's do the math on this one. Assume that no resources get destroyed and Doomsday will always be recovered (and that he is not recovered earlier than the recovery in the recovery phase).
At the start of the Draw Phase
Turn 2 - 2/2
Turn 3 - 4/4
Turn 4- 7/7
Turn 5 - 11/11
Turn 6 16/16
Turn 7 22/22
Turn 8 29/29
Something tells me that a 29/29 on turn 8 would be a tad bit broken, no? ;) And this is assuming that Doomsday doesn't get recovered more than once in a turn (there are ways to do that after all). It is a nice idea, but something that would need to be tempered a bit more. Maybe only 2 +1/+1 counters when recovered, maximum once per turn? Or something similar.
I like the idea of Doomsday's resurrection/evolution ability, but a lot of these are neglecting an important flavor concept: Doomday was the King of Bricks from his first appearance onward. It's not like Superman had to off him a couple of times before he was a threat.

Well, a turn 5 11/11 will be very hard to stun, so when facing against doomsday you'd better ignore it and let it do its thing, because a turn 6 11/11 is less of a threat than a turn 6 16/16. But i agree that it needs some work.
i just can't wait for the set, im buying three boxes as soon as it gets out. and i'll probably skip over WoS and build the clone spidey deck (since it consists of common and uncommon cards) just to be able to get three boxes.
your version of doomsday isn't broken.. i think it's pretty reasonable.. let's say you play him turn 1 (you have to draw him in opening hand which is a drawback in and of itself) he does get bigger but.. but.. he has to be stunned number 1 and if you have more then 1 stunned character are u going to save doomsday which is very chancey if he is going to get bigger next turn or are u going to keep your bigger drop that is a guarantee? and lets say he doesn't get bigger.. more then likely if he doesn't get stunned in a turn he is well behind the curve and more then likely will be your choice to ko if you have to choose between him and a higher drop.. i am not making a case for this being his best incarnation.. i think doomsday was much bigger then a 1/1 in his first appearance.. maybe make him a higher drop that does the same thing
