Neither of my parents have blond hair but I do, so therefore I must be a mutant.
Aparently you did't get too far in biology and chromosones...For you to be blond you need to have 2 blond genes. If one of them where dominant gene (brown) then the resul would be brown. Now your parents only need to have 1 'brown' gene and 1 'blond' gene for you to be blond (1 out of 4 kids your parents have will be blond... proportion jumps to 1:2 if your milkman is blond ;) .. JK ). That blonde gene can be hidden in your family for 'ages' without ever showin.
Now 2 blonde parents always give blonde childs since there is so dominant genes.
Back on topic... I belive Apok... DC oldst 'mutant' would have to be Vandal Savage though
Edit: and I aparently didn't get too far in English lit... damn spelling!
Originally posted by Tigos Its okay, we all know Canda is one of the worst countrys ever for speaking french ;). But why does Apok have to do anything with marvel?
Indeed, we speek half-a** French and English ... or at least I do!
Apocalypse - Marvel ... Seems to me the link is pretty eeasy to make.
Assuming by "first" you mean oldest. The answer is:
Apocalypse often claims to be the first mutant. It is unclear whether this is true as Selene is much older than him, as she dates to the times of Conan and Kulan Gath. The Shadow King has claimed to be as old as humanity itself, but his status as a mutant and the validity of his claim are questionable. Saul and Azazel are also older, although it is unclear at which point their mutations manifested. With Saul dead and Azazel trapped in another dimension, the title of oldest mutant on Earth is still disputed by Selene and Nur.
canadian bacon - it certainly is possible that a blonde with brown-haired parents is the product of a recessive gene combination.
But it is also possible that there was some kind of minor genetic mutation. they are not that uncommon, but are generally too small and useless to manifest themselves in noticeable way.
I think there is some confusion about the term mutant. If you looked in a dictionary it would likely say something about possessing a genetic anomoly. But the dictionary meaning should not be used in this case.
In the marvel universe Mutants are humans who posess the X-Gene. You can tell that UDE intended the marvel definition of the term Mutant rather than the dictionary definition because of the new sentinel card. Sentinels were designed to hunt down and "capture" Mutants with the X-Gene.
Therefore, while it is entirely possible that Namor is a mutant by the dictionary definition he should not have the Mutant trait.

e.g. six toes per foot, my ultra-laziness
Having 6 toes or 6 fingers is a dominate trait. Alot of babies actually have the 6th finger/toe and it is removed after birth.

Explain to me how physical reality alteration is a mental power, and NOT an energy one and I'll believe you here.
The "Franklin Richards" that came out in this set was from the "Days of Future Past" storyline. Not the little "Tattletale" that was involved in the "Mutant Massacre".

Yes, the allele for extra digits is dominant, but it's also extremely rare. I doubt that "a lot" of babies are having their fingers and toes chopped off.
