During the 3rd pod of draft, I was playing Justin Pidgeon. He played Wonder Woman 4 drop and I called Death Trap. He of course freaked and didn't want his 4 drop gone, so when i attacked, he played some defensive cards. I then played offensive cards. We were both so focused on getting/protecting his 4 drop that we forgot Death Trap was the only twist I could play.
After we drew for the next turn, he realized I couldn't play the extra twist. I called the judge since it was my screw up. The judge gave us both warnings and play continued.
Play continued and he won, so that was fine. I did learn that when Wonder Woman hits the field in draft, that you should call death trap even if you don't have it to really freak out your opponent. :)

I don't see it. At all. Maybe because I know him. Or maybe because I am not looking to attack people on the boards all the time. I love Canadian Bacon in many many ways, but I call them like I see them. This looks like Niles trying to talk the tough-loss demons out of his head to me.

That's ethical egoism, not utilitarianism. Utilitarianism isn't that selfish, and it's hard to find a point where utilitarianism cares about competition, since winning or losing are both relative, and it basically wants the person that's hurt the least by losing to lose.
