Ya if I won a pc I would wait till the end of the pcq season then do a report too. Everyone really wants to know about a good deck for a dead format. Do you have any insights into the jla/gl modern age format for us anthony? Is willpower the way to go?? I cant beat glee and every time i bring up my ig/anti matter deck everyone tells me to shut up and calls me a noob =( I didnt get to make fun of anthonys judging at the last pcq cause I was in new york so I had to make up for it somewhere. Also, let silver age die play some terrible deck and go make a decent golden deck instead, thats my silver guantlet. Not that I actually have a gold deck ...:(

As much as I appreciate the props, they don't belong to me. My team's used the term "secret sauce" for as long as S.S has been out, and the Fate part isn't much to be proud of. I'm surprised you havn't run into it prior to now...

Also, I don't remember much about your 10k win report... but here, it looks like I found a copy of it:

yah so i played the same deck as half the field and it pretty much was the best thing there. i figured that savage nasty and overload would be good metagame choices because they are kinda good against decks that attack or defend. i hit my drops more often than my opponents i sno'd stuff and eventually it won me a bunch of games. one round i had to play a titans guy and it made me think hard for a little bit.

As riveting as that was, I'm putting alot of time and effort into this, and people have said they're still interested in reading it, so I'm rolling with it. ;)

From what we were able to 'gleen' from team Hector Hammond FTW ... he was a metagame call specifically for the fact that Hector's defense with the Fartifacts is one more than Katar Hol with the fartifacts attack. [or similarly, two greater than Katar with a Nth Metal's attack]. So outside of a field of Conner Hawke, Hawkgirl and Katar Hol [original] with Nth Metal ... the opponent needs an extra trick to take down Hector with their four.

In the Silver meta ... there's no room for that specific t3ch.

Not to mention that hitting Deadshot on 3 isn't the ultimate play either since you don't have Hawkwoman AND Ahmed as two of the 'best 3-drop to kill on turn 3' in nearly every deck in the format. The Ted/Poison combo to fit Fate on 2 is solid ... but the rest was mostly a way to stonewall/slow down the Good Guys ... Hector and Crystal = stall for Grodd ...

As for 'Silver Gauntlet' ... it's definately something to keep up on as, maybe as early as the MMK - DLS set they'll be having the Store Championships to introduce new sets to the metagame and they are allegedly going to be silver age.

Ha ha, I did not write that -.- to be fair i did send in reports/articles to starcity and realms and i've sent a few more in sinse then too but I tend to not get replies. I had to play titans like 3 times thanks and "that titans guy" was adam prosak and vidi so there, and I didnt haft to think real hard cause being the master that I am i played 1 flame trap and drew it when nessary, like against titans. I think Im gonna send fatal a article about overloading roy harer and have it come out the same day as youres :) not that he's gonna reply to me =(

I swear to gawd, I had to read the first sentence three times before it made any sense. And consequently, my eyes are now bleeding. I've sent several tournament reports and articles to various Vs. sites (yes, including this one), but for some unknown reason I've yet to hear back about a single one. The articles I sent in were in fact spell checked and edited ect, and half the time I was asking about doing articles not actually sending 1 in. If you cant translate 1 mispelled word from every sentence then I would probally not read anything I typed in the future.

General rules of grammar can be (and often are) broken to toss a bit of "style" into written (or in this case, typed) work. For example:

It. Was. A. Joke. People. FortheloveofGawd.

is clearly grammatically incorrect, yet due to lack of voice inflection, pausing, etc., sacrificing perfect written grammar to convey a point is completely acceptable.
