What? You don't like our current government? That's it, I'm blowing the whistle unless you agree to feel X amount of fear, where X is the amount of fear they tell you to feel.
fyi, i have no choice but to take you seriously since you did not use the mandated blue color of sarcasm.
I'm just saying, after a very thoughtful article defending an unpopular opinion, it's hard to get excited about an article praising a mini-series that is several years old and was critically praised at the time of its release.
It's like writing an article to praise Watchmen. No harm in it. But I'm not rushing over to read it either.
there are multiple authors for that blog... this is the update thread i started for said blog... not all the articles will appeal to everyone... you can not like/hate an article all you want, but there's no need to be so sarcastic about it. i mean, what really is the point in that?
Possibly. Either they did Civil War to set up Secret Invasion, or they're doing Secret Invasion to clean up Civil War. Either way, Tony, Reed, and Spidey have to be Skrulls. :p
I got $5 on Hank Pym being a Skrull. It's been noted by the writers of Secret Invasion that there have been a number of Skrulls floating around for much longer than people would think.
In the Kree Skrull war Hank Pym (as Goliath in that really butch red strap top) goes back into a Skrull ship for something.
Wanna guess what came out disguised as Hank?
He's peripheral enough to not matter (I mean, they'd never do a retcon on SPiderman for instance) and he's always been around all these groups and seats of power in the 616. Also, they can write off his domestic issues.

I was commenting on the content of the article.
I thought that was the whole point.
I've always given you credit for having more of a sense of humor...

i usually do, and i did get the intent of your sarcasm, it just rubbed me the wrong way for some reason. like, commenting is totally what we are after, that's cool. it's just that the mean-spirited stuff is not useful to anyone. if you hate it, fine. hate it. say you hate it. but don't be condescending about it. again, that kind of criticism benefits no one but the person who says it, and even then very little, and it doesn't lead to interesting conversation... it leads to this.

and this... this sucks.
Luckily, the small percent of the Realms community that practices it has dwindled to a handful.

Fair enough.
It wasn't meant to be condescending. It was just an offhanded comment based on the topic of the article. Which, admittedly, I haven't read. It may be a wonderful read and I'll make a point of getting around to it to atone for my flip remark.
The first article, while I disagreed with it, was very good.
