What is the latest you can diside? i am going a 3day gaming event in Cornwall in Mid-July which is going to have a BYOS and Golden age touranment it could be a idea for what people want and how broken Golden age is :) :)
But I think its going to be a really hard choice for anyone i mean there is pros and cons for everything -
Golden ages - Everyone can play but the power level might be hudge so limited some players enjoyment and there is less chances of people buying boosters but at the same time it might bring people back into the game due to alot of other TCG being stale at the moment.
Sliver age/Morden age - Less players but probly a higher chance of selling boosters, and i dont no much about either of these formats but there always seemed to be who ever had the best power cards from the sets come out on top but i might be complete wrong.
BYOS - I think this is the best choice it seemed to work well for the UK nationals and has the pros of the golden age and most of the pros of the SA/MA the only realy down side is that some people have has a chance to see what works in this format.
Now i am planning on going to Game 08 and i will play whatever but this is just my view on someone who has just got back into the game :)
I would be part of the Irish heading over for this and would prefer it to be Modern age myself, it has been of late the most open format.
But I can see that if your are trying to get more people to play like old players that acess to mordern cards is a problem, but Golden is too ridiculus to build in and it probably would be Doom or a quicksilver or the like to win
BYOS is bland mainly crisis decks and ggs, and i think the same for random punks. Legend would have to be restricted to Modern or silver age.
So that really leaves Silver, but of course that includes Quicksilver and ahmed.
