I think we need better incentive to continue playing the game aswell as finding new ways of bringing new and old playing back into playing the game again. I've been playing vs since the beginning and up until the slow down when the 10k's and pc's were ended I had a hard time trying to travel and money was tight as it is, kinda making it a rich mans game. After they ended everything I decided to put more effort into playing the game and building a bigger player base but after everything is said and done I'm tired of just playing for mats, tee shirts, and half playable promos. Don't get me wrong I like promos(I collect them as trophys to show how many hobby leagues I've won), but if I'm shelling out, lets see, 5 dollars a pack per week(I have a tight vs allowance) and 7 dollars per hobby league(I go to 2 different leagues a week), I'm effectively spending what 48 a month. I don't want to be turned to just selling what I crack in a pack online on ebay cause I actually like the game. I think the company can do more to reward the player for staying with the game for so lone since it was onlife support for the last 2 years.
I personally like the BYOT with strict team-stamping.
It makes you play cards you normally wouldn't and you get to see stuff you don't usually see.
Granted, there are some decks that are heavily favored in this format and you can't really meta against them because you have limits to what you can access but it's a nice way to balance Golden Age.
The other format I want to experiment with is BYO2T... where you can have up to 2 team affiliations (and you start off with them crossed over so you don't need to run team-ups).
I think the "Marque" fun format 1 a month is a fine idea, providing supported variation leaving 3 other weeks a month alone for shop determined formats to be played, every three we get a Silver City seems to be the accepted default, ok.
What I would like is a little more advance scheduling of Marque events, heck I'd like the schedule for the next year its only like 8 events heck give me 6 months or 4 listed events then I don't have to scurry around at the last minute tearing apart every other deck I own to put something to play together.
So I vote format as you like just let me know with notice, a rotation that allows for innovation could be good given time to innovate.
