Overall, Trap stun can do a lot for you here. Dust is good, but there is just much more shutting down that all traps than hitting one and missing the critical one that could cost you the win. Shutting down key traps with trap stun will help keep the keepers going that turn and hopefully swarm ftw. Also look into Magical Dimension. Strange Tech, yes, but getting free (optional) destruction for the summon of another spellcaster is pretty decent. Its not a smashing ground, but its good removal at that.
Can you r/f my deck, line in the sand. Link in the sig
I was thinking of Dust Tornado more to hit my opponent's card in their End Phase and then using it's second effect to set Rite of Spirits. I do use Trap Stun in other decks. I'll see how Dust Tornado is working here and swap in Trap Stun if need be.
Magical Dimension combo-ed with Recruiter does seem interesting.
On of the other reasons that I'm considering Glow Up Bulb is that I could use it and Gravekeeper's Commandant to make Naturia Beast. I'm also going back and forth if I want to try out Divine Wrath in the deck if I'm going to be running Plaguespreader Zombie or Glow Up Bulb here.
Wow, I just realized how badly this deck is calling out for Enemy Controller with triple Recruiter and Sangan being run, Glow Up Bulb would only make things better. Ideally I would like to find room for 2 Enemy Controllers and 1 more Book of Moon. Dust Tornado seems like the obvious drop, after that maybe I'll just go up to 41 cards to get in my third copy of Book of Moon. Anyone have any other ideas? Ideally I would run Royal Decree here, but I really don't like the idea of completely tossing Rite of Spirits out of the deck.
so im gonna try an tool box version of the deck, where im running no chiefs or visionarys but pretty much strictly all level 4 or lowers, also have you thought about magical dimension? I liked it a lot more then econ's and of course I like books more than econ's so I took out the econs for the magical dimensions and royal tribute, mentioning it why arent you running royal tribute? it combos really well with stele... lastly with not running the econs and running dimension over em it allows for you to not run glow up bulb and run plague over it which allows for more necrovalley abuse XD.... just thoughts I have had on the deck let me know what you think
It looks like Gravekeepers are doing pretty well in Atlanta this weekend. I'm making a few minor changes before I start testing this week, luckily my copies of Recruiter showed up this week.
I'm still trying to decide between Gravekeeper's Chief and Visionary versus two copies of Cauis the Shadow Monarch. I want to do some testing to see how they work out, who knows maybe I'll keep Chief and drop Visionary altogether. In theory Descendant should be able to give you a lot of field control, especially if you can grab it or Recruiter with Spy and tribute off Recruiter for Commandant. That's one of the staple plays of the deck right now.
I'm giving Priestess a shot since I want to try out one copy of Royal Tribute. Priestess is definitely on the chopping block with Chief, Visionary and Rite of Spirit.
Wow Gatekeeper''s win the first YCS that Recruiter is legal for.
So I tend to remove Assailant with Allure of Darkness because it's the "least" important of the Gravekeeper's but there have been too many times where I have Necrovalley on the field and need to get rid of a monster. Assailant is the perfect solution when I don't have anything else on the field so I'm going to add in a second copy to see if it takes care of these issues.
I did a little more tweaking, dropping the Visionary and Rite of Spirit for a second Royal Tribute and Starlight Road.
More testing is needed because I didn't draw into any of my Spies so I don't have a complete feel for how the deck will run. The good thing is I was able to stay competitive even without the Spies. Plus I'm still feeling the play patterns for the deck out.
You definitely want to have AT LEAST one Gravekeeper's Visionary, they're dead useful but the problem is getting them on the field while having all of the necessary conditions to keep it alive longer. It is worth it because it gets stronger for each Gravekeeper's in the graveyard which means it gets stronger as more time passes in the round. I once had my Visionary get 3900 attack because I fought against an opponent that focused on deck destruction by trying to get my deck to 0 cards as soon as possible so 90% of my Gravekeeper's cards were already in the graveyard so it recieved insane attack power.
It can be special summoned by Gravekeeper's Chief, revived to the hand by Gravekeeper's Stele, causes Gravekeeper's Recruiter's effect to activate once tributed, I'm sure there are more advantages I'm forgetting but the fact that it actually gets stronger as the game drags on, is something you shouldn't ignore, my opinion, one is probably good enough, it really depends on the theme of the deck that you're running that dictates whether one or more is needed but one is definitely worth it.
Again, that's my opinion, your version of a Gravekeeper's deck probably doesn't see Gravekeeper's Visionary as needed, but I see and say otherwise.
EDIT:
I also am experimenting with a Gravekeeper's deck and it is version 3.0 now, I understand how you feel about constantly experimenting with them because we both understand that they have tremendous potential to become one of the top decks around but it takes a lot of time and effort to figure out what would make them really explode in tournaments. Anyway, could you give me feedback on my deck? It's on the first page with '3.0' in its' title, thanks!

Must not of seen the decks that just took 1st 2nd and 3rd of the ycs then huh? XD
lol they used my same idea of just using a toolbox, and revolving the deck strictly around 3x spy 3x recruiter 3x descendent and 2x assaliant.... the deck works amazingly consistant and royal tribute is a lot better right now!

You got that right, I didn't because with school, work, and other things I don't follow yugioh that much as I used to, especially when it comes to tournaments that are outside of my local ones, hell, I don't even know the names of boxes that came out in the past 6 months or so and don't keep myself updated on new yugioh cards and events.
Interesting, what type of deck is yours? Beatdown? Also I acknowledge Royal Tribute is useful if you can get it at the right time, but if you don't, then it feels like a crutch most of the time. It's too situational for my liking since you need to draw one then have Necrovalley on the field then be sure that your opponent has important monsters in his hand that he hasn't summoned and would take a blow if you played it.
