As a big fan of Street Fighter 4, I should note that it had been around for a while when its Heroclix set was released. SF4 was released in July 2008, and the set was August 2011. There was a lot of emphasis in the sculpts on special effects, likely due to the inky/sketchy style in Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4. However, you are still correct that the set only used SF2 characters, which was quite frustrating for me at the time. Had it included SF4 characters, it might have been the push I needed to get "back" into the game at that time. I remember I had seriously considered it back then.
As for the possibility of it happening again: it won't. There is another "miniatures" game by Angry Joe using Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Dragon Ball Z. I hesitate to call them "miniatures," as they are explicitly advertised as "Amiibo-sized." Joe has also all but explicitly called out Heroclix, bragging how its a non-collectible miniatures game. I don't think any of these three properties will be coming to Heroclix anytime soon.
Basically non-blind. Heroclix and Magic are "collectible." Legendary and X-Wing are not. Granted, he might have used a different phrase and the term could just be me.
Non-binary. Please refer to me in "they/them" pronouns. Thank you.
I'm also one of the few that doesn't see the bad in the existing ones but I'm so casual and my collection spans dawn to now.
If they released a series of 'mini-sets' or grav. feeds either by game, so 1, then, 2, etc..... or mix it up. Plenty of characters and costume variations to work with.
TOTALLY accurate. I once played Akuma who picked up the Scorpio Key, 8 range Pen Psy with an 11 atk/4 dam. He attacked LOTR Sauron and crit hit... that's why I play this game!!
The two Cammi weren't bad. Especially the Dark Cammi.
Imagine my boy Akuma with Octopus arms using his Special Flurry
I feel like the WWE team ability functions like how the Street Fighter team ability should have.
My first thought with the WWE new rules is that they should give some of those abilities to SF characters.
That said, I enjoy the original set and their *gasp* balanced dials that were meant to be street-level compared to the super heroes. I prefer that game design philosophy to seeing Andre the Giant out-tank The Incredible Hulk!
I would also like to add that I use card games for thematic drafting purposes at home, and Cryptozoic's deck builder is a quite fun one that had a Street Fighter set. They produced cards for most of the SF2 champs, and here's a list (from memory) of some of the cards that I would like to see produced as miniatures in HeroClix:

Agreed 100%. The sculpts for the original set are still some of my favorite in the entire game, so it's a crime that they don't purchase the license once every 5 years.
I dream of playing Marvel vs. Capcom vs. Mortal Kombat vs. DC. Wizkids could make it happen just by producing separate sets that just happen to be balanced against each other.

Rufus (how funny would that model look?)
Urien
Gill
Sodom

Hugo
Rolento

I think the reason why I feel the WWE TA would mostly fit with Street Fighter Characters is because in the newer games there seems to be more punishment against characters who have projectile attacks. I haven’t kept up with the recent games as much but if I remember it right in SFV, outside of Guile in the earlier seasons it was pretty easy to punish characters who spammed projectile attacks.
Couldn't comment on 5, but I think projectiles were in a very balanced place in 4. They were good enough that you'd want to use them, but not strong enough to dominate. Hugo might disagree.

I would take a remake of the stuff we already got with just new dials and point values to reflect todays game. I still sneak a few of them onto the footclan when i feel like it.
@antonio.clark.art is my instagram.take a look and tell me what you think....be blessed!!!
