But if they are taking the place of characters that actually battle, then that isn't cool. There are many heroes and villains not even clixed that should be.
I’m largely skeptical that it’s an actual either/or situation in regards to these sort of non-powered supporting characters. That say, some superhero or supervillain specifically got cut from a list of prospectives and lost out a spot in Avengers/Defenders War because Ben Urich and Foggy Nelson got included. As an example. Or that Karkas or Sweet Prince of the Eternals actually lost out inclusion in Mighty Thor because Eric Masterson and Jane Foster were in there.
I get that some folks don’t want non-fighting fictional characters in a game like HeroClix. But the reality is they are. WizKids knows some folks don’t like those sort of inclusions and they’re going through with them anyways. Personally, regardless of if I agree or disagree with them, I don’t want to cut off potential article material by adhering to a standard WizKids has no interest in abiding by.
I despise Archie, and I wouldn't pay for it, but it is marketable. I'm just not sure if should sell as a Fast Forces (Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Mr Weatherbee?), or if you'd want to do a gravity feed with more characters, including Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and the Shield.
In terms of appearing on the battlefield, it would be feasible to scale them down to 9 attack, 16 defense, so they're balanced within themselves, but not monsters in the larger game.
Or just make them bystanders who don't battle. When Teen Titans first joined in battling enemies with the Justice League, Teen Titans were on crowd control.
