"You could be dangerous though, I'll give you that," Immortus said, capturing Mary in a temporal bubble. "Now, quickly, before she escapes. Finish her."
"I can't do that!" Starman protested. "That's totally not cool."
"Fine, I will," Dawnbreaker said, attacking her with a T-Rex he created from his ring.
"I will finish her," Shahna said, knocking her out with her staff.
"I don't know you from a hole in the wall," Inque said, hitting Morgan le Fay.
"I am one of the greatest warriors Triskelion has ever seen," Shahna said.
"Like that's supposed to mean anything to me," Inque said.
T-Rex ports to O19. Needs 6 to hit Hector (wow, all this time and only one Hector Hammond. Doesn't that feel wrong?). Rolls 4.
I clearly need pc. Dream Girl (whose also due a remake) will fill that void. She moves to I13.
GG hss to N17 on Hector and Shahna, neither of which are whom I'm like to target but he can't really get to others. Rolls 3. Dreamy makes it 7. Immortus: 6. Hammond takes 2 plus 1, Shahna takes 1 plus 1. GG ends in H21.
Beetle is in. EAX style. Jakar tks him, Bunker to J13, J16.
Beetle makes his av 12. EE on Shahna. Needs 5, rolls 7. KOs Shahna. Immortus ss: 2, 2 to him. Inque ss: 2, 2 to her. Starman ss: 3, 2 to him.
There are so many characters like Hammond that were made once and never touched again. That JL set that he's from is full of them - Icicle, Chronos, Crimson Fox, Gypsy, Major Disaster, Zauriel, Dr. Polaris, Time Trapper. Not flash in the pan characters. Too many characters are redone in every other set, and it leaves no space for these B-Listers. It affects both DC and Marvel, but DC has so many fewer sets, I think it affects them more. Though I have to say I'm glad the end of the Fantastic Four embargo for Marvel is in sight. So many of their supporting characters fall into this category as well
So a pretty good turn for you. Only one KO but a lot of damage spread out.
Gear Perplexes his AV to 10, shoots the T-Rex. AV10 on DV17. Gets 9. KO.
Superior TKs Immortus to I13
Dawnbreaker RS to Q10 on Bunker. AV11 on DV17. Gets 8. 4 to Bunker
Cardiac is my replacement. I hesitate to play him with his stats, but I think he could do well enough here. Teleports to M17, EE on Madame Hydra, AV9 on DV16, gets 9. Dream Girl makes it 3. Immortus makes it 6. Enough to hit MMe H for 2, but Bunker escapes, and he's who I was really hoping to hit. Still, 2 to Mme H largely neutralizes her as a threat. Also automatically does KB, to I13 hits the wall for 1 more
Static RS to M19, carrying Gear to N19. He targets Bunker, AV10 on DV16. Gets 10. KOs Bunker.
He can also use TK as a free action, but only to make an object attack. Let's take the HO out from under Dream Girl and drop it on Madame Hydra, AV10 on DV12. Gets 6. KOs her.
No chance at blocking either of those KOs though, so that could spell trouble.
"I see you can make constructs, not unlike me with my ring," Dawnbreaker told Bunker. "But I also see you are an amateur. Hardly worth my effort, but since your walls are...inconvenient..." He shot Bunker with a blast from his ring.
"Damn! I don't think I want to stick around for more of that," Bunker said.
"Sorry Bunker, can't let you slip away," Static said, zapping him out of the fight.
"Good shot," Madame Hydra said, training her weapon on Static, "but you left yourself open."
"Which could be a problem. If I weren't covering him," Cardiac said, stunning her into unconsciousness with a jolt from his staff.
I am reminded that Bunker is a great barrier piece. I need to remember him.
GG hss to K20 on Cardiac & Static. Rolls 9. Static ss is 5 but that's not enough with ps. I'll give it all to Static, 4 with lightning. GG ends in G21 but I'll be crossing to 5k so he'll lose the relic.
Onslaught comes in, just cause I want to try new stuff. He replaces Bunker in JK15, 16. Attacks DB, Immortus & Inque. She rolls 3 for sc. Gets 9. Immortus has a say: 8. SS is 3. He'll give 3 to DB but kb to X1 (doesn't stay on my map). Net of 1 plus he loses wrath. Immortus takes 1 plus another for hitting the wall.
Onslaught's dial has a lot going on, note that he can't be targeted by characters more than 5 squares away.
He also gets some free options so he'll try to incap Immortus, Static, Inque. SC is 6 for her so Cardiac instead. Rolls 5. 9 for Dream Girl. SS is 4, so Immortus is pushed (his total for 1), Cardiac is pushed for 1, Static is pushed for 1.
I'll give him camouflage.
I need another replacement. Porcupine. I just love some of these old time, nearly forgettable, villains. He just ports to I12, moves to P13.
So I'm not sure if I got Immortus right. For sure he should be pushed for 1 but LMD would save him from the 1 damage before the kb but not the kb?? Anyway, Kingpin, thru Porky, outwits Immortus' defensive power ...pc, outwit, whateves.
A lot happened there. Let's see. No problem with Green Goblin's attack.
Onlsaught's 8 is going to miss Dawnbreaker. Dawnbreaker gets +1 to his DV in ranged attacks if he's not in Hindering from his Will Not Hide in the Shaows Trait. (I do note this in the recap) Potentially he can get other bonuses from it too, but none that would apply here. So his DV is effectively 20 at range. With AV11, the 8 only hits a 19.
Sadly that means you will probably deal all the damage to Immortus, I imagine. (for 3 after LMD, and as the KB damage is deal separately after this hit damage, the LMD would work on it too so nothing from the Knockback. The Incap Push Damage he will take)
Unless you want to use Onslaught's PC to risk a reroll. That I will leave up to you.
Also, for the record, the Remove Equipped Objects and Knockback 9 squares only works on Onslaught's Close Combat attacks, so even if you do manage to hit Dawnbreaker ultimately, he'd just take regular knockback and keep the object.
I'll let you decide on the "to reroll or not" question before I go.
One more slight correction. Immortus doesn't take a push click - he didn't have a token to start with so the Incap only gives him a token.
T-Rex on Porcupine, AV10 +1 on DV17. Gets 9. Onslaught makes it 6. I'll deal straight Damage for 3 after Toughness. KOs the T-Rex with his Quills power.
Starman Force Blasts Porcupine, gets 6. Sends him to J7
Dawnbreaker RS to Q6 for the KO on Porky. AV11 on DV16 +1. Gets 10. He's KOd.
Inque to J7 to block, Sides to K7. Changes to Stealth
Hammond on Beetle with PB. AV10 on DV17. Gets 9, but SS is 5.
"Okay super powerful giant over there. Spiky armor guy right in my face, spiky armor guy in my face gets my attention every time," Starman said, blasting Porcupine away.
"Why I oughta..." Porcupine said.
"What you ought to do is run home and hide and hope I don't find you," Dawnbreaker said, shooting him.
Poor Porky, I would’ve liked to see him last another turn.
Onslaught on DB, Hammond, Starman, free incap. Beetle makes his av 12. Rolls 8. Immortus makes it 11. A token/click to the first two. Starman rolls for SS:1. A token/click to him, too.
Onslaught proper attacks same targets. Gets 8. 2 more to DB.
Terra sides to E13.
Stilt-Man comes in. Terra tks him to the porter.
He pops out at M18 and force blasts Cardiac. Rolls is irrelevant. Knocks him off the wall to M16. He takes 1.
