You did it yourself, you said you were going to bed and removed your vote.
It's not counterproductive. Lets say we got 6 votes on Space Jawa (which we did at one time), and the off chance that none of those voters were mafia, then that means scum could rush, throw the SK in there as well for good measure. What happens if there's a double voter or a lawyer out there, that increases the danger of some shenanigans going down with a pressure vote, especially an inactive pressure vote.
That's not even taking into consideration of the bad target for pressure.

He could have very easily said, I have to go to bed got a long day at work, etc etc and removed his vote. Someone else would have happily taken his place.
The vote is an indication of activity or that you're playing the game.
Here's my take: yesterday we let the day fizzle out. While I think that it's unfortunate that Velius has not come back to the game, why did he drop a pressure vote and then scamper? That was 1 of his 3 posts in the whole thread. Sure, this is not damning evidence and I can see the argument that it does not deserve a lynch - but why give the mafia an advantage with yet another wasted day? And I am fully aware that if Velius autopsies is town then I am next for the lynch party, but this early in the game we need something to go on. Inaction just doesn't seem like a good way to go. That is all I have to say about that.

Or he might gave thought he'd be around to move his vote, but something came up. Or he figured he'd better use his vote while he could. Lots of possible explanations.

D3: Full Of Sound And Fury
The crowd met in the townsquare, calling for the head of someone, but received no appearance. As the sun set, all sides grumbled and kicked at the dirt, but nothing happened.
Day 3 is over! A Lynch has not occured! You have 24 hours.
Just a heads up, I go on vacation at the end of next week. I'd *like* the game to be over before I leave, so faster PM submissions mean faster game

The bar was proving to be too deadly, so most of the crowd retired to the safety of a large cafeteria. And continued to drink.
A young, exotic beauty sat in the corner, alone, playing with her smartphone. She was smiling slyly, her thumb flying over the screen. So engrossed with her efforts, she was completely oblivious to the sultry blond who brought her drink to her table, then escaping into the crowd, unnoticed.
Without even looking up, the exotic beauty reached out for the beverage, when another woman rushed by her, bumping into her elbow, spilling her drink everywhere. “Oh, pardon me, I’m so very sorry. May I get you another one?”
She just waved it off. “Don’t worry about it, I was just about to leave anyway.”
After giving each other a hug, both women said their goodbyes. Nearby, the brunette cutie once again found herself sitting alone, stood up by her date for a second time. She sighed deeply, and downed her strawberry daiquiri, waving down a waiter. Might as well order another one.

Elsewhere, the blond agent woke up in her bedroom. She had missed most of the day before, and had to go and try and help her cause. Someone had slipped a large manila envelope under her door, and when she opened the contents, she became a bit flustered. After getting dressed, she opened her door to leave, only to come face to face with a man carrying a large gun. “Oh! I was just about to come see you.”
“Sure you were.” Without another word, a blast lit up the door frame, sending the blond woman flying back into her room, her chest a burning hole.

Velius has been killed! He was Jennifer ‘J.J.’ Jareau (Town/Criminal Minds), always the one to put the pretty face on bad news, played by the alluring A.J. Cook.
With 18 players remaining, 10 is needed for a majority. As it's a weekend phase, you have 36 hours

Ok, we should definitely have something to go on today.
For one, I'm starting to think that my previous assumption that I was forced to make the kill last night may have been incorrect and it was, in fact, another person with a different weapon.
For a second thing, someone targeted a mafia member last night, and I think in doing so stopped the Mafia from making a kill.
I was wrong about Velius. I will admit as much. Hopefully today we can make a better choice based on more accurate information.
Also, looks like the mafia hit might have been thwarted by a doctor. Good to go!
