If it was, then DDV would be far to easy to use and there would be no practical reason as to running Giant Orc.
Well I guess that isn't totally true, since you could use it for Necrofood easier or if you really wanted to run Second Goblin or wanted to run 3 GEAF and additional Giant Orcs.
Unless you use something like DNA Transplant with other Attribute no Tribute monsters with 2000+ ATK...(turn Lightning Gear - Sakuraba into a DARK instead of LIGHT and tribute it off after attacking since it'll go to the Graveyard at the end anyways)
Well, I've been a smidge out of the loop with the new ban list due to some family issues I'm working with, but since I have two seconds, I wanted to drop my input.
Last Will: I was a little shocked and sad to see one of my favorite cards reduced to 1. However, with the new rulings on it now solidified, there are even more ways to abuse this one and I'm looking forward to it. I will probably combo it heavily with Inferno Reckless Summon. One idea I've had of late is Tribute Summon Mefist, Last Will, special summon Winged Minion, Inferno Reckless Summon a pair more, then make Mefist an ultimate 3900 trampler/hand thinner. I'll have enough tricks to make sure even Goldd doesn't make due with things.
DDV - Yeah, we all love it and I used it enough when it was only at 1 to see how wonderful it is. Now I just need to get a couple more copies of it to run in decks. A Goblin King deck is in the works and that will most definitely use the Virus. Just think, we seem to be at this balance mismatch where you have a lot of low ball tech cards followed by a few high ball tributes that rely upon them. Shut down the tech/tribute engine and they're done for. I do have one Cybernetic Magician that I might want to throw into this.
The one "general meta" I'm thinking about using/looking at is the return of Bait Doll to counter all the Sakuretsu/Widespread/Mirror Forces and the use of Dark Coffin or Statue of the Wicked to punish the Mobius/Storm still pretty prevalent. I really want to try a Raviel approach somewhere in here so we'll just have to see what goes. I can finally make some use with Magical Hats and Statue of hte Wicked somebody led me on to a long time ago (props to ya, sorry I forgot your name! 8^D)
But anyways, that's my 10 bits. More to follow later! Peace out homeskillets!
I don't get WHY stuff like Dark Coffin, Statue of the Wicked and such isn't used more...I mean...even the "competitive" player's themselves talk about "all the m/t destruction" that can screw up Continuous cards and yet...some of them say that Dark Coffin is too situational and a waste of deckspace to main deck??? I've had it set off on the first turn constantly because people topdecking (or stacking, in real life) Heavy Storm, MST, Dust Tornado(s) and such and end up wasting them and losing even more because of it or giving me more monsters on my field that I can proceed to use as Tribute fodder or something.

Because the overt competitive players feel it's a waste of space... if it's not "solid monster removal" or a +12345678910#######shift+3.... then it's lamexcore.
That's all stupidity.
Dark Coffin and Statue of the Wicked are excellent cards. Providing it's user with either hand or field removal, or monster tokens to be sacrificed later on. Someday people will catch on...
Most of the time, Dark Coffin is a +1 for you anyways.
I see people, including me, talk about how much m/t destruction there is in Decks with Heavy Storm, MST, Dust Tornado, Breaker and 2-3 Mobius so chances are that Dark Coffin will be hit (it's been hit a lot for me and pretty early in duels).
So they waste their removal and then lose a card from their hand or lose field advantage (usually it's the hand since people use m/t removal BEFORE summoning/setting anything first)
i have to aggree. tonight i just watch my boys play and my younger son made the older brutally pay for a heavy storm because he had dark coffin and a statue of the wicked face down. (he was playing a new insect deck featuring anteatereatingant). by the 3rd duel my oldest was too hesatent to play any s/t removal, wich only told me that if you were to play such a tactic it would be best to side deck it at the latest the 3rd duel. my oldest wasted my younger after he caught on.

I would have to agree. In the tournament scene if you won round one, or round two for that matter it would be best to side-in for your deciding match... or supposed deciding match.
Those two cards can be great detriments... And what do we love most???
Just a little note that, unless you know this already, Anteatereating Ant won't set off the effects for Dark Coffin or Statue of the Wicked when used for its summon since it doesn't "Destroy" them while they're Set. Just sends them to the Graveyard.
Frog has never been a problem for me...people usually save it for a discard cost if they use any anyways for fear of Nobleman of Crossout or something, so even if they discard, it has to be random, meaning they'd have to have luck in choosing the Frog unless it's the only card in their hand.
Even if they have the Frog on the field, they'd have to wait an entire turn for it to come back, giving you the chance to get rid of it somehow.
MasterTEO, please be careful. I may not come to Realms much anymore, but I still watch out. And I have driven away quite a few rude people permanently. If you can be civil, so can I.

Where are you spending most of your online time? In the Lair? I browse the forums occasional but never really contribute. It seems like almost everyone who could offer good advice or arguments is gone; I miss the 10+ page debates that a few of us used to have.
