honestly, my life has been very hectic in the last 4-5 months. I do spend most of my time monitoring the Lair and working offline on some Fiendish articles and stories that were requested of me there.

Other times I spend in the City studying my rulings. I have been trying hard to spend some time here in Realms for the last week or so, just because I feel I owe it to a place which has given me so much in return.

What about you? I know what you mean though. Dillie-O is camped out at home, Waldo is still recuperating, pyrofire is gone for good. You still hanging out at the Blue, or doing the MTG thing?

I actually talk to Pyrofire every day. He's going to 2006 regionals this weekend. (Obviously for Magic)

I've mostly been avoiding YuGiOh Forums, including OB. I do talk to Zaq777 through AIM at least once a week and he's convinced me to start playing YuGiOh again. (And he promised to supply me with a deck if I join his team : p )

I'm hoping that if I start posting again, new people will begin to replace everyone who left; it's a theory. Hopefully I'll start hearing [reading] some of your innovations again.

Hello all.Haven't been here in a while but an experience I had this weekend made me come back to this thread.

This weekend I went to my semi-local tourny.Not exciting huh?Just wait.

In my first match I bring out my End of Anubis on my second turn.Now I was just going to see how it did.It blew me away.After I attacked his f/d Sangan I explained no search (he has never seen it :p ) so we continue.He tries to premature his sangan (probably a sacrifice) and I have to explain again no grave effects.He sets 2 cards and ends.I play heavy storm and he tries to play CotH on Sangan so patiently I explain again.My next turn I attack his f/d which was a Faith.By this time he was steaming so badly I almost burst out laughin but he still couldn't catch a break.EoA's 0 def made him impervious to his 2 Smashing (thanks to my other monsters) so he lost the first match easily.

After reflecting this I realized how much he would have gained that duel
1=First Sangan
2=Second Sangan+Tribute monster
3=Third Sangan
4=Faith Spell
5+6=2 Smashings.Although not wasted they couldn't find their mark.

Now I realize EoA can really backfire on you very easily and the 0 defense stinks against Tsuku and Book/Controller but what do people think of Anubis in this format?

P.S. Why name it End of Anubis when the card shows Anubis? :ermm: :p

If anyone remembers me my Archfiends are doing well.Still working on stability but I've shifted to a side deck shift kinda like Dillie-O.First match is first turn Mazera build and then side it out when they side in Dark World for a Terrorking deck that keeps bringing him back over and over.Quick question.If I have Card of Safe Return and Pandemonium on the field and I revive a Terrorking with Desrook can I search with Pandemonium and draw a card from CoSR?

The god anubis was connected with the afterlife as a messenger for Osiris, I think. The "End of Anubis" would refer to the end of communication with the afterlife, ie....no more Graveyard.

And no more slipping past really...(graveyard activating effects) like they could with Necrovalley.

I think it's still more sidedeck-type of card most of the time, depending on the decktype.


As for the question

While "Pandemonium" is active, and you have "Desrook Archfiend" in your hand, and your "Terrorking Archfiend" is destroyed while on the field, "Pandemonium" is Step 1 of a chain , but you can use "Desrook Archfiend" as Step 2 of the chain. Then you would get to Special Summon the "Terrorking Archfiend" and select a Level 3 or lower Archfiend from your Deck.


Then I think Card of Safe Return would start a new chain

EoA worked really well teched in my old fiendown deck. it was full of a bunch of high atk beatsticks and no germs or searchers. i did run coth and premature as back up plans to revive EoA.

i could see EoA still making a name for itself in todays format. most cc decks run 2 MoF and at leat one searcher in triplicate along with sangan. it stops dark world in its tracks cold and also can beatdown any monarch with its healthy 2500atk.

Unfortunately the TK revival won't allow CoSR to give you a draw. As HDI was saying, The Chain order tha must be built puts the Pandemonium search as the first link and the Terrorking revivial as the second chain link. Then you resolve backwards and the last event to happen is an Archfiend search, so you'd lose the timing for CoSR since its an optional. I refer to the following:

[Re: Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World] If "Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World" is discarded by your opponent's card effect, when his effect resolves, he is Special Summoned first, and then the second part of his effect resolves. So the opponent cannot activate "Bottomless Trap Hole" or "Torrential Tribute"; the timing is no longer correct. Also, you could not draw a card for the effect of "Card of Safe Return".

However, THAT being said, I also noticed that Pandemonium is an optional effect as well...

Neither player has to pay Life Points during the Standby Phase for Archfiend monsters. Each time a player's Archfiend Monster Card(s) are destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, except as a result of battle, that player can select 1 Archfiend Monster Card from his/her Deck that has a lower Level than the destroyed card and add it to his/her hand.

So I would wager that you don't have to activate Pandemonium's search effect when a TK is destroyed. Provided that CoSR is already active on the field, you could use your Desrook revival at that point and then get your draw afterwards.

This could open some really nice doors for more Archfiend power, do you want to search or draw? Both are quite handy.

As for End of Anubis, he's a great monster, but definitely a doubled edged sword. Naturally, he's a great card to tech in against many CC monsters and is really the only thing that outright shuts down the Dark World. (Aside from maybe Royal Oppression)

cosr would be a nice option in an archfiend deck especially if you have exausted all your low star monsters to search.

At least Dark World can still make some good use out of Card of Safe Return since, chances are, you'll be doing the discarding yourself to get them to the field.

Very true. The best thing about Dark World is that, on a good day, they can easily create their own card advantage. Its just one of those things that no other deck type can do (as well compared to DW).

Sorry if this has been posted before but I didn't feel like milling through 80 some odd pages for the answer. My question is can Dragged down to the Grave be used in a darkworld deck and the darkworld monster still get their summoning or drawing effects. I'm thinking bout testing it in mine but I'm not if it don't work. Thanks for all the info in advance yall are all great helps.
