[Group: DARK WORLD MONSTERS] If these monsters are discarded by a card effect in the middle of a chain, or in the middle of a card effect like "Dragged Down into the Grave", their effects will activate after the current chain resolves. They cannot miss the timing.
Unless you have NOTHING but Broww's, Goldd's and/or Sillva's in your hand, your opponent can simply choose to ditch one of your m/t cards that you could've used instead...
Yea I coulda used the search function wasn't thinking. I think I lost my mind with all my hair. But no one in my area really plays dark world. Also not many are that good of players. One thinks dakr world has a field card....... Wouldn't even listen to me. "sigh" Shame he is older than me too. And I'm 20.
i refuse to let this gem of a thread die! even though fiends have died down and are flying under the radar a new format is about to be upon us. fiends could see a huge rise with some more usual cc cards giving CED and BLS company in the realms of the fobbiden list.
though these last 2 set didn't release a single fiend there is reinforcements on the horizon. cyber dark impact is giving us a new lv monster and a collection of fire attribute fiends. some of these guys would work well in tandum with lava golemn.

Well... I'm back and I'm using Dark World which is technically fiend themes. Good to be back I admit. So whats been going on? Not too shabby fiend releases.
Not much really...Chaos is basically dead with its big 3 gone, thanks to the newest ban...OTK's seem to reign...other than that...the usual complaining and such
I know.. Either way somebody is going to groan. I am happy chaos is gone. I hated it. People kept reusing it and it got bland. I keep my decks purely original. WHOA!!! HOLY GOD!!! 7 months have passed and you came by and got 15,000 posts. Yikes!!!!
I didn't really mind it, but it did make the game very stale to duel using various Decks and ALWAYS seeing the same basic builds...Cyber Dragon, Zaborg, DDWL, Breaker, Reaper, Sangan, Chaos Sorcerer, Smashing Ground, etc...it got to the point where I could practically predict every card the opponent would play or had f/d on the field...u_u;;;
Wow, that new fiend-level-family looks pretty cool, I'll certainly have some fun trying them out. However, I'm afraid they will be pretty hard to utilize.
From the wording of the text, it looks like they work just like the Ultimate Insects, meaning they will ONLY get their effects when summoned by the lower-level-version. So if Lucius Lv 6 is summoned via Level up! or other cards (or just tribute summoned), he will not be able to negate monster effects, therefore he will not be able to evolve to Lucius Lv 8, right? If that’s truly the case, then this will be the most difficult to use of all the Level-families.
yeah lucius is gonna be like ultimate insect, wich really watered down the card. i could have handled the low atk OR the ultimate insect type text, but both? i think konami is a bit paranoid about trying to keep a card balanced to the point of making certain good ideas useless.
well, i shouldn't say useless. you would just have to center you deck around lucius more instead of just splashing him into a deck.
i got to see the card art for lucius and he looks freaking awsome. his highest level looks like an archfiend from dark world. a pretty neat hybrid like appearance.

Another drawback is that, unlike the Horus dragons, you don't get to evolve at your end phase. Instead, you have to wait until your next standby phase. So if you want to bring out a Lucius Lv 8 that has its effect, you’ll have to start with Lv 4 and pray that your opponent has no monster-removal for the next 2 turns. Doesn’t sound very promising to me, but I'll still experiment with them for a while…
oh yeah, there got to be a way to make them work efficiantly. if i remember correctly, level up doesn't let UI have its effect right? that means lucius would suffer the same problem.
