Actually reasoning runs through enishi and keeps picking up until it finds a monster that can be normal summoned. I still wouldn't run reasoning in such a build though.
Did they change this? I always assumed that hitting a Special Summon only monster was similar to the ruling on Spirit monsters:

If you pick up a Spirit Monster, then all picked up cards are sent to the Graveyard.
Knowing my track record, I was probably way off on this.

Spirits can be normal summoned, so they meet the criterium for reasoning and it stops looking. Then it tries to special summon the spirit and it can't, so all cards are sent to the graveyard. A special summon monster doesn't meet the criterium so reasoning keeps looking.
Did a bunch of testing against Light and Darkness Dragon last night. Unfortunately luck was against me (well not entirely) because I mainly wanted to Solemn Judgment out now that I'm packing a playset of it. The only times I saw Solemn Judgment in 5 games was when Card Trooper dumped it into the graveyard :( I also didn't really see Light and Darkness Dragon in an of the games either, so I'm still not sure how well this deck handles the beast. I did manage to win 4 of the 5 games, so it wasn't all bad.
I still haven't decided on my side deck yet, mostly because I don't know what my local metagame is going to look like. No one around here generally likes the Six Samurai at all, so I'm not expecting the deck to explode by any means.
I just got two of my Cunnings of the Six Samurai from trade in the mail :) Can't wait to try them out, now I just need one more to make this deck complete.
Wish I had a 3rd for ya lol. I couldn't believe I walked outta there with even a playset, let alone 5 since there were over 7-8 players all using Six Sam. I was the only one that managed a full playset, so I'm happy. Two people managed a playset of Enishi though which ticked me off, but Cunning > Enishi any day lol.
Hee Hee Heee..... I'm giddy like a school girl right now... I've saved up my moneys... So I can go and buy a couple of Secrets... Hopefully... If they aren't all taken by everyone first... I must get to the store first! Wahahaaahahaha! But what I can't really wait for is finally changing my deck around! It should be quite interesting... Waaaaaaaaaaaaa! Only 15 More hours to go.... :cheeky:
That's part of the problem. The store I go to doesn't run the local Sneak Preview, so I have to wait until they get their first shipment in. This is probably good as it will give me another week to figure out if I have the funds I want to be able to buy a box, should be fine though as long as my car doesn't cost me more money than I am anticipating.

I actually don't have any money left to buy anything. I don't eat during the day to make sure my baby has enough to eat until the end of the month, and am in the midst of looking for a job that'll pay a little better, and is more suited to a man of my education. So I'm waiting til i can purchase the damn thing with my VISA, since I'm expecting a tax refund next month. So I'm only looking for the pair of extra cunning. May even stick to just one. I've been testing and it works nicely. Three would be better, but I'd feel comfortable playing it with just two.
Since I have no major tournaments until its nearly christmas (probably going to look out for one more major event to get some competitive playtesting in) I don't mind waiting an extra two weeks.

I feel your pain. I know with my mortgage and monthly bills there's no way I'll be able to afford having kids for a while.
There really aren't any major tournaments that I want to enter in the near future, so the wait really won't effect me too much. I want the third Cunning just to help me test because right now I don't get them as often as I'd like. I was able to get Irou, Grandmaster, and Zanji on the field last night, take out a face down with Irou, attack with Grandmaster and Zanji, and then Cunning to get Grandmaster back and attack again with him. Talk about a serious momentum swing!

Yeah So Cal to Massachusetts, you can't get much farther away in the country. I'm sure it will pop up here next week, for the time being I can work more on my Light and Darkness Dragon Deck and my Cyberdark Deck (my Magical Stone Excavation finally got here!!!)
WoW.... Thats the only way I could explain it at this moment.... Cunning = Pretty Amazing... The deck to me, feels a little faster, but slower at the same time, becuase you use up your hand on turn one, if you got the right hand... I don't know what I'm saying... Six Sams are just an even better deck than before...
But what I did have problems with is that you really do need GM6 In grave or in hand very quickly in order to make the comboing go off faster. I feel tempted to add in 2 Foolish Burials and another WRA, cuase I want that dang GM6 or Something else that is use full. Foolish + WRA = ROTA, IMO... Bleh, its challenging to play with Cunning, cuase your mind is trying to think of a couple of moves that might be good, or might be horrifically bad... GAH! I guess 2marrow is when I shall test out the new deck....
It takes a little more practice to get the hang of. At first it felt sluggish, going up against a friend's PC deck. I just kept losing because I'd draw into dead solemns, or they'd get MST'ed or I didn't have grandmaster, but pretty soon you get the hang of it. Learning when to use solemn makes all the difference. Solemn on a monarchcan really be all you need to seal the deal, even without grandmaster. You get to keep your samurai, so its no biggie to drop another sam and a shien against an open field. Bribes I like to save for Vortex, Prem or call usually, against PC decks.
Just practicing against yourself with top decks helps immensely. You know what the opponent has down, and you know what plays to make to circumvent that and that gets you into the mindset of the player ofthose decks a bit, which in turn lets you make the correct plays when you don't know exactly what they have down.
