You said something about posting it to make some other statement look silly and I didn't know if I'd said the thing.
I don't remember half the crap I post.
I've actually found myself reading through stuff, laughing my ### off, and thinking "Who IS this guy? He's hilarioius!" only to find that it's me.
It's kinda creepy and sad.
From the sound of it you are pro other license compatibility so I don't think you had ever said that. I would think if you were against it you could have a better argument than many of the ones I've seen. Especially the one I was attempting to mock.

I'm not sure if it's possible to have a good argument for that side.
Earlier today I was talking about that thread with The Girl.
She said, "They should just make it Marvel and DC. It's called HEROClix after all."
One by one, I presented counter arguments for each of the 'knee jerk' reactions to other properties in Clix. It was great because I could have the conversation in real time in-person instead of online with multiple people and she totally saw the bizarre nature of the initial reaction.
I'm not saying I'm immune to it myself. There are all kinds of things that, in Clix, strike me as weird or even wrong.
But I just keep coming back to the fact that something like that has been there since the beginning and I calm down about it.
The one that gets me the most is "dilute".
Like HeroClix is Guiness or something you can water down.

At first I wasn't so sure myself. To be honest I'm surprised by some of the things that are compatible. Such as LotR. Though given the original source material for heroclix it kinda opens the door to any and all possibilities. I'm glad they kept Star Trek non-compatible but if they had I guess it would be acceptable. Comics aren't limited so why should heroclix be? If anything the anything goes policy is more representative of comics than not. Maybe I'm just blabbering.

How dare you suggest such a thing! Watering down Guinness. You should have your mouth washed out.

Doctor Henry McCoy, I'd like to introduce you to Doctor Leonard McCoy.

The Wold Newton universe probably has the one as an ancestor of the other.
They decided that Artemus Gordon is an ancestor to both Flash Gordon and Commissioner Gordon.

I love Skype for that. If you're having a serious argument with someone try to talk them into carrying it over to an instant messaging service of some kind, or even a video call. It makes a HUGE difference to how much both sides can get out of an argument if it can be done in real time and without distracting idiots yelling while ignoring your actual argument.

Haven, Dngergrrl and I got an email from somebody named Tristan Howe from your venue for a clix game that was dated today. Is that somebody you know? Does this mean that you will be available for a Friday game this week?
