I saw most of them at my Not-so-FLCS, so I imagine they are out there. What was really weird is that I only could get the variant cover of #6. Not that I care one way or another, but it just struck me as strange.
Yeah. I bought the normal because I thought it was the variant. There were so many of the variant, and I didn't see the variant mark in the top left and didn't look for the bar code on the back to see the code.
I read half the books (need to order the rest on amazon...) before I watched the show, so I'm biased towards the books personally. The show wasn't bad though.

I actually read AwA #6, and I gotta say that as an HPL fan they got me hook, line, and sinker. Seriously well written, in the fine style of the old EC horror comics. I am getting the TPB tomorrow, after which I will give it a full review but so far this title is leaps and bounds ahead of anything from Marvel that I am reading these days (Amazing Spider-Man and FF).
Is FF really doing that poor? Haven't been able to buy any new issues in awhile for obvious reasons, but when I left, it wasn't that bad.
Oh man, you guys are talking about Dresden Files. Haven't read the books, but I know I should.
The TV series deserved a better fate than it got.

The books are far superior, though the show wasn't bad. I did like the show's versions of Morgan and Bob. The deviations from the books got to be a bit too much for me, though.

Well, they restarted with a new FF#1. I saw that it was written by James Robinson so I figured that it had promise. They are now on issue #7 and let's just say that I am still un-gripped by the story arc. If it stays the same, I think that I'll drop off in a couple of issues or so.

Same here. There were only variant #6's on the shelf. Also, keep in mind that earlier issues have been reprinted, putting even more variant covers on the market.
What I find odd about the AwA variant covers is that they seem to feature the gals of Archie in lingerie outfits, which in my mind caters kids comic characters to grown men. (And yes, I know that the series is rated T for Teen and not meant for kids, but Betty and Veronica are underage, fer pete's sakes.)
Personally, I prefer 1st prints and really don't care much about variant covers. I may buy the single issues due to wanting to read the letters pages, but that's about it. Never saw the need to chase variant covers and have six same issues with six different images on the cover (I'm looking at you, Jim Lee X-Men #1!!!!!!)

If I can get individual issues, I'd rather have those. Not a fan of standard, non collectors edition trades. Being a modern series, it shouldn't be too hard.
The single issues are all on evilBay, but they seem to be getting enough media attention to start prices at around $10 a pop (including shipping). Not to mention that some auctions include all of the variant covers and Life With Archie #32 (whose parody zombie cover seems to be what started the whole concept of AwA to begin with... Go figure.)

Well that's just great. FF was the only book I was buying consistently, ever since they restarted Secret Avengers in the middle of a cool storyline (which I only started cause Taskmaster was on the cover). Hopefully I won't have to find a new series to read, I don't know if I can bear that. Maybe I should just stick to finding older F4 comics after all.
Damn, Marvel is bring the heat when it comes to movies though.. Black Panther, Civil War, World War Hulk, Inhumans, and the best, Doctor Strange!
Definitely have to agree with this! I am ridiculously excited about the new movies! I hope I can find a good copy of Guardians of the Galaxy to tide me over until I get home and can see it in theatres.

I know what you mean. Marvel seems to be all over the place these days. Though I agree that in the films department Marvel is kicking rear and taking names.
