BCS DECLARES GERMANY WINNER OF WORLD WAR II
US Ranked 4th
After determining the Big-12 championship game participants the BCS computers were put to work on other major contests and today the BCS declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.
"Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning with the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing on into conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Their only losses came against the US and Russia; however considering their entire body of work--including an incredibly tough Strength of Schedule--our computers deemed them worthy of the #1 ranking."
Questioned about the #4 ranking of the United States the BCS commissioner stated "The US only had two major victories--Japan and Germany.
The computer models, unlike humans, aren't influenced by head-to-head contests--they consider each contest to be only a single, equally-weighted event."
German Chancellor Adolph Hiter said "Yes, we lost to the US; but we defeated #2 ranked France in only 6 weeks."
Herr Hitler has been criticized for seeking dramatic victories to earn 'style points' to enhance Germany's rankings.
Hitler protested "Our contest with Poland was in doubt until the final day and the conditions in Norway were incredibly challenging and demanded the application of additional forces."
The French ranking has also come under scrutiny.
The BCS commented " France had a single loss against Germany and following a preseason #1 ranking they only fell to #2."
Japan was ranked #3 with victories including Manchuria, Borneo and the Philippines.

Well guys, it's official. I will not be coming to Vegas any time soon. I really thought we'd be moving there basically this weekend but it turns out that we will be enjoying L.A. just a little bit longer. I was really looking forward to seeing all you cats up there but them's the breaks.
And if you want to know what I ran today, read the What did you play thread in the Combat Formations thread.
Thanks to the guys for showing up to the Tourney today. I had fun playing my Mods! I have a strong respect for Goliath (Massive Man). Tough fig to take down!
For next weeks tourney 12/13/08 we have the following stips:
Build 2 teams at 400pts each. One team must be from the John Ell era and the other must be from the Seth era. This includes all cardboard used (feats and objects too!) If ya'll have any questions, please ask.
Seth begins with which set?
"And I shall make little coins with my head on them and place them in the thongs of your strippers."

Hey Guys. Just looking for some feedback for a couple of teams I made. Green Lantern Corps. & the Sinestro Corps.
The lineups are pretty much set, limited figure pool and all. Unless you have a different lineup that works. Looking for some advice on the feat selection. Also how would you play the team / stratigies / board placement / jazz like that.
Happy Holidays!
Green Lanterns of Sector 2814:
Hal Jordan - Crisis
+ Inside Information
Guy Gardner - JL
Kyle Rayner - Exp. - CD
Jon Stewart - Rookie - CJ
+ Point Blank
+ Green Lantern Corps. - Assigned to Hal, Guy, & Jon
500pts
-Also thinking about Opportunist on Sinestro, just not sure how the turn sequence would go. Maybe
Turn 1 - Lyssa TKes Sinestro to staging area = 1 token.
Turn 2 - Team Clears = 2 tokens. And Sinestro is free to attack or TK Arkillo if needed.

I really like the Sinestro Corp team. The Yellow Lantern is an intresting support fig with a cool mix of powers. Too weak to be a front line attacker, though the Plasticity/Running Shot combo BEGS to be used. So use him to EE with said combo and have him stop next to a friend to share his 18 Defend. Arkillo with the teams TRIPLE perplex is pure EVIL! 2 to attack and 1 to damage for 8 clicks from a Charge/Flurry. Very much a One-Shotter!

so this thursday is supposed to be 400 point team up (each player brings 200)
of course this would requires a min of 4 people to show up so its not likely (but I can hope right?)
this is the team I came up with after a little thought (supposed to be restricted)
The Penguin
The Riddler
Street Thug
Street Thug
198
I bring the support powers but with the double outwit can still make some attacks. Plus its a theme team so it also brigns 2 probs and a BFC cancel. Could use another fly but I think it works.

There are 2 factors that give the Sinestro Corps an advatange.
1. More cost effective dials, which equals 5 figs over 4
2. Damage Reduction!
The question is can the Lanterns keep it a long range battle and utilize their advantage of High Range Defense and Willpower?
I do like the Yellow Lantern mechanic on the team, it fits well. My plan is to push him on turn 2. That gives the 18 Defend and w/ Spotter, a +1 to all range attacks. Then I can use the Perplex for other stats if needed.
For the Feats; remove Construct, add Opprotunist and another 6pt feat. Probably Vendetta on Amon Sur. 500pts even.
I have not played them yet. Waiting on a trade to come in for most of the Sinestro Corps. And I do not have a Sinestro yet.
Speaking of which. If anyone sees a Sinestro SR for trade on someone's trade thread, would you PM the thread to me. I would appreciate it.
Thats why I say supposed to , game called on account of weather? looks fine today but we will see...
and that is a GrEaT 200 pointer, I guess I was just AA blinded and I wanted to use some figs I have not used yet too. (I only used riddler once in sealed)
